Russia has the luxury that they know Kiev can't hold all of the new line and they just got to monitor where the Kievans move their men and strike where they pulled them from. Wherever there's a breakthrough the Kievans race troops back which are now missing in other places and the Russians simply push there, rinse and repeat. The Ukies should have stepped back and shortened their line a long time ago but they can't for ideological reasons...

Blinken has no esteem for the fighting of soldiers. It is childish to play guitar in a bar while a country is at war and loosing. Never before such a thing has happened.
Those people are so detached from reality, they can't tell difference between right and wrong. Just look who (p)Resident is and they all pretend that he's ok. They are not afraid of God and not ashamed of people. People on the street are laughing when they are not terrified.
When Putin visited China, it was meant for serious business of war. When Blinken visited Kiev, it is simply a Childish play. That is not the way to win a war.
He mirrors his political audience : Arrogant towards the "others" and their suffering,in this case the ukrainian people. Or the palestinians. They think nothing will touch them.

Russian forces have expanded the area of combat operations in the northern Kharkiv region by 43 miles, announced on Friday by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrski. Meanwhile, the Europe 1 radio station provided new information regarding the actions of Western leaders concerning the peace talks between Kiev and Moscow.
According to the radio station's reports, "Western offices are preparing coordinated diplomatic actions to persuade Volodymyr Zelensky to accept the terms of negotiations."
We read, "Kyiv will have to conduct talks about ending the war, risking the worst possible scenario, such as the Russians opening another section of the front."
"The Russians has expanded the area of active combat operations by almost 43 miles, trying in this way to force us to use an additional number of brigades from the reserve. The Russians has concentrated its main efforts on the direction of Strilecha-Lypci and capturing Vovchansk, with further advancement towards Bilyi Kolodiaz and starting an offensive on the rear of our troops," wrote the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrski, on Facebook on Friday.'
The military also noted that the Russians "started the offensive much earlier than planned." "We are facing heavy fighting, and the Russians is preparing for it," he added.

So now Russians have also manpower parity or advantage in addition to artillery advantage, armoured vehicles advantage and air power advantage. Looks like a bleak prospect for peremoga... 🤔
Probably wouldn’t be a terrible idea for the Ukrainians in Donetsk to pull back, shorten their line and create some semblance of a reserve.

They are Russian. They have been waiting for the day Kharkiv returns to Russia. Their prayers are inching closer to their realization.
But Zapoleonsky told us only 31,000 casualties didn’t he?
Hi there 😊
Great updates and analysis , thank you Weeb ... Like watching the last few moves of a chess game, only direct NATO involvement can flip the game board into the air.
I think your numbers are wrong. Ukraine doesn’t have 400k soldiers left
It can be easily halved, more likely a third of the 400k exists.
There seems to be some confusion. He is stating that Battalions are three times larger than they actually are.
He is confusing the troop numbers of a Brigade, with the troop numbers of a Battalion.
Brigade has 1,000+ soldiers
Battalion has 360+ soldiers
A different channel a couple of days ago, claimed about 250-260k Ukrainians. I don't know how accurate those claims were. But it's less every day now
@@DontWorryBeHappy75 250k ish would be accurate for 25 Brigades.
*But* the ukrops, like the Germans in WW2, keep Brigades / Divisions on the books at full strength, even when 99% of the soldiers in that unit have been wiped out.
So if the ukrops are claiming they have 25 Brigades, some of them may have 1,000 soldiers, while others may have 100. There is no way to tell what the true number is...
US can print almost unlimited amounts of dollars a d thus pay a lot of foreign fighters. Aldo, US, just like Israel dont care about international laws or human lives = they are prepared to fight by any means.
@@oggaBuggaafaik nato battalions have 1k. But yeah i would literally not be surprised if most ukranian battalions are so understrength that they're down to just 360 people.
@WeebUnionWU Excuse me, which sources are you using for the number of involved battalions around Kharkiv? It's for a Wikipedia citation ;)
Given that Ukraine went from 44 million down to 23 million (as reported by the former Ukranian PM) then East Ukraine must be sparesly populated. Once russia takes East Ukraine up to the dnipro river, which is roughly 40% of Ukraine, i see the East Ukraine population being maybe 10 million population give or take a few million, with Ukraine or West Ukraine being a population of some 15 million, give or take a few. Lots more will flee the country once Russia breaks through.
That’s a lot of nazis leaving.
Nobody has any real idea of what the Ukrainian population actually is. The last census was over 20 years ago and it was not done well.
@@Jim-Tuner
They know how many people enter and exit the country. Poland also keeps track on Ukrainian entries into Poland.
@@RovexHD There were no good numbers on what the total Ukrainian population was before the conflict. There has only been one flawed census done 20+ years ago.
They may know how many people have left Ukraine, but they have no idea how many people are in Ukraine.
Vive la Russie et vive l'armée russe qui va nous débarrasser des antéchrists occidentaux !
It's time Zelenskey stopped using this conflict as a means for creaming off millions of $'s , at the expense of losing this proxy war. You need to accept a surrender deal.
The Slav does not surrender imagine if the Soviets surrendered to the Germans during the great patriotic war because they were pushed to the brink
This reminded me of the Kolubara battle in 1915. The Serbian army was low on shells, and guns were silent on our side; allies were promising help, but help was missing. Also, they were expecting the Serbian army to collapse, so why waste shells on the lost cause. A massive Austro-Hungarian army was attacking, capturing the Capital City of Belgrade. France eventually sent artillery shells, and our guys figured out that the French sent us the wrong shells, so they were urgently sent to the Kragujevac factory for correction ("How the fuck they don't know the calibre of our guns??"). The army was exhausted, and it was fighting in a retreat. General Misic decided to retreat further even though the high command was against it, as it would jeopardy another army flank. He took his army back, got them some rest from the fighting, and provided shelter and hot food; artillery shells finally arrived, and while the Hungarian army was trying to find the missing Serbian army in the mountains, they were preparing for the counterattack. It was early morning when the fog cleared, and Serbian guns started to pounding Austro-Hungarian positions all over the front. A rested and now motivated army (on low morale for some time due to months of heavy fighting and losing ground on the hills and mountains of Western Serbia) attacked and broke the backbone of the Austro-Hungarian army, whose logistics line was stretched, and soldiers were also exhausted from the prolonged fight in the mountains of Western Serbia. Once again much smaller Serbian army hit the bigger opponent in the stomach and freed the country. Unfortunately, when Germans and Bulgarians arrived to finally finish with Serbia, Typhus and casualties took the tool, and we retreated to the Albanian mountains. On the Albanian shores, most of the army and people were starving and dying. At the same time, the allies finally agreed after the Russian tzar intervention to pick up this starving ghost force and take them to the Greek islands, where many were met with death and rest from the hard and bloody experience. Others survived and fought again on the Thessaloniki front. I am sad to see that Ukrainians are losing their most precious resource (people) to this shameful war, and I hope they will find some sense in them to decide enough is enough and that the price they are paying for fighting with a much bigger opponent is too high. They should have agreed with Russia at the beginning of the war, as Russians would have liked to avoid this destruction. Now, when they are losing, terms will be much worse. We Serbs also paid too high a price in the WWI war with 30% of our population, and also a very high price in WWII with the civil war between royalists and communists and parallel fight against Germans and Bulgarians. Luckily, when bombing from NATO started in 1999, we gave up after 74 days of constant bombing and decided enough was enough. No territory is worth the destruction of the whole country. Even the holy land of Kosovo.
And another problem that the Ukrainians have is operating in Battalions will mean that coordination will be bad.
What do you know lol you been there?
The Ukrainians are operationally working on a company level. Their coordination has always been terrible. The inability to conduct operations above the company level is one of the reasons their 2023 offensive did so badly.
Calling blinken a talented musician or singer is like saying Ukraine is winning the conflict .
Calling russian 2 week special military operation success is like calling transvestite Putin a democratic president

Anders Puck Nielsen says that Russians have bad plan and his followers are saying that Russia is going to lose doing what they are doing now. He says for the Kharkiv offensive Ukrainians are streched on all front lines, but also Russians are streched, so it doesn't work... 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, it doesn't make sense. The Russians have held reserves for a while now and their offensive is speeding up. Introducing them now as part of a flanking maneuver makes logical sense.

Dear Weeb Union: A statistic about Drohne footages would be fine. How is the development of using Drohnes between Russia and Ucraine over time? Could be shown on a graph. I strongly beliefe, that this is key factor about predicting how long the war will still go on since it is the only major defensive weapon Ucraine bring into the game and also to find Operators is not so hard as to find front soldiers (physical and mental requirements)
Not sure why they switched to battalions, it is harder to operate such a wide front with smaller units. Especially if you re defending.
What that american/Nato general said one year ago? IIRC: "Ukraine is winning, now they have to finish the job." 🤨
(This sentence was also reported by many important newspapers too.)

Oh, bless the Canadians and its sacrificial lambs, totally wasted by your big brothers. Like for the Western front fake landing during the WWII, together with the Irish..
just a question, been following this channel for a while. Isn't the title a little too clickbaity? Unless breaking lines means slight Russian gains. In the bigger picture the lines have barely moved since November,if i read breaking lines i am expecting to see a chunk thats at least half of what russia has already gained. Excuse me if i am wrong and feel free to correct me. No offense meant
Ukraine is quite huge country. It looks like small part, but they already captured larger territory than are many EU states.
In this war of attrition it's not about the territory taken, but who will run out of men and supplies first. Breaking in this case means that the ukranian side has almost no reserves - battle-ready units are almost all engaged already and creating new units takes time, because throwing in untrained troops would result in even worse situation (routs and mass surrenders).
All in all, it is a lose-lose situation - any unit taken from one place to another opens up the possibility for attacking the thinned defences. This was likely the entire plan for the northern attack on Kharkov - take away whatever reserves Ukraine had from the south and force them to spread their forces even thinner than before. Also, make a buffer zone to defend Belgorod from the ukranian attacks on it (finally).
"Breaking lines", does not mean they advanced through those lines...
titles are clickbaity, yes. unfortunately there is no other way to promote anything on youtube.

The increased mobilization in Ukraine will not allow them to build up any reserves. It will only allow them to provide enough replacements to keep existing units going.
This is developing slowly. But the Russians are slow.

Historically Russia's first steps into wars were mediocre when they were not catastrophic. A question Weeb:
If a batallion is 1000 soldiers and a brigade is some 4000 in ukraine - what is the size of a platoon, a regiment and a division there?
.
So these are rough numbers
Platoon - 30
Company - 100
Battalion - 1000
Brigade - 4000
Division - 10-15k
Corps - 30k
Army - 100k
Army Group - 300k
@@ew3612 this is what puzzles me: traditionally, a battallion used to be about 500 soldiers and a regiment about 1500 soldiers. Here, the batallion is considerably bigger while the regiment isn't even mentioned. Has the ukranian army abandoned regiments?
@@JosipRadnik1I think that regiments is a commonwealth term and the americans sort of mix it in with continental terminology. I was watching a youtube video which explained what the generals staff does and it was explained there.

I just hope Russians know what they are doing. When I was in army,it was always said, when you attack your force must be at least 3 times bigger than defender and that is minimum.Ideally it should be 5:1 or 7:1.1,5 :1 sounds little bit small.
Makes sense. How do you take a big city like Kharkov with 50,000 men
The situation is different when trained soldiers are attacking positions defended by recent conscripts and using more artillery or air strikes before attacks start.
