I see a man getting older and scared to be alone so last minute effort to make a connection with his son and the mother. This man is very very lucky that his son wanted to meet him. Funny, how all these men wait until they age old and fragile and weak to them want to love on their children. 😒

He didn't pick me up from school but in latter years he moved to his hometown , joined church and then called me some Sundays. He wouldn't come visit me and my family. Later, there was some contact. I later became his caregiver as he was dying of cancer. It was a LOT for me/us because we went through my mother-in-law dying of cancer 2 years prior. Lord have mercy 😢😢😢😢

So does a female. When I first met my dad I was about 10 years old. He didn't even keep up with my age because he had to ask me how old I was. I never saw him again or spoke to him again until I was a grown woman around 21 years old. I tried one more time in my thirties and that's when I finally gave up and just had to accept the fact this man didn't really want to be in my life. It really hurt me because I feel if I had a father in my life so many horrible things that happened to me would not have happened. So really you and a lot of other people really need to stop saying boys need their fathers or it's hard for a black man without a father. Girls need their fathers just as much and it's just as hard for a black woman because I wasn't dealt a great mother but I wish I could have at least had my father. I just had to figure things out for myself and that was very hard.

And I went and watched a longer one of this team and she is actually the adoptive mom who went on this journey with him to support him finding his biological family and he got to meet both his biological mom and dad with her right next to him and being there for him! Very sweet episode and amazing mom and son!
Adoptive mother ,or not the op comment still the same she knew he was going to meet his bio dad ,and played along. It really is great to see people reunited. Some people never wanna meet their bio family ,and some of the family never wanna meet bio kids. I remember seeing a show when I was a kid where the mother was ranting about a private adoption and he was never supposed to know who she was, that was after denying ever having a child she gave up. She was married with new children ,and never told her new family she had given up a child up for adoption she broke that ' grown child" heart again ,she seemed so cold,and all i could do was wish I could hug him ,and beat her up lol.
