India should retaliate by raising baniya regiment & gujju rifles to show chinese & shaab ji nepalis the mirror..... sanghis have prowess & skills to raise army in 3 hours as professed by the sar sangh chalak.... sangh is very lenient in not raising deadly baniya, peshwa(never confuse with maratha, those are shudra classes fighters who are forced to fight with stupid weapons) & gujju armies, it is rumoured that these famed till now imaginary armies don't actually need to fight any wars, they can simply chant & a curse can befall on any army, chinese & pakis are not even in list of adversaries, these armies are for the universal conquest.

One thing you got it wrong about tradition of gorkhali joining in forigen army is , this system was not actually established during British raj but before that ,during the regin of king Ranjeet Singh of Sikhs ......that's why these soldiers are still called Lahure in our local language, meaning those who go to Lahore, which was then the capital of Sikhs.
Another well written fact of this is the inscription by the British in the name of their gallant adversary/enemy kaptan Balbhadra Kunwar( former gorkha captain of nalapani fort) in which it is mentioned that Balbhadra kuwar fought to the last man and was killed by Afgan artillery while fighting alongside the Sikhs (you can always google it as 'Inscription Balbhadra Kunwar ").
Actually this system of gorkhali serving in British army began only after the Anglo/ Nepali war because of the Sugauli treaty in which Nepal was required to send a certain number of men to serve in British Indian army. Otherwise joining the army of "gai marra" /cow killers(no offence intended) was considered one of the most severe taboo back then.

Sikhs and gorkhas actually fought and gorkha expansion was stopped by sikh
Then later on both worked as petty tools for British during 1857 sepoy rebellion
Both sikhs and gorkhas are dishonourable lot who have been fed delusion of martial race by British anf later on by ignoramus indian population who don’t know the reality

It is disappointing to hear some Indians say that “Gorkhas are just famed army” , despite having served and battled in countless wars for the country. Some high-ranking officials, politicians, and news media in India are using divide-and-rule tactics on their people and neighboring countries. It seems that India is becoming overwhelmingly focused on becoming a nuclear power, and in the process, overlooking the sacrifices of Gorkhas who have also lost their lives alongside Indians during difficult times. It is disheartening to see this happening in India.😢. I had a lot of respect for that news reporter, but she has shown herself to be biased towards India. As for the issue of China recruiting Gorkhas, it is a matter for our own people and our own government to decide. We have the right to do what we feel is suitable for us. To suggest otherwise is to speak like a colonizer. If you believe that China's tactics are bad, then we must also acknowledge that China is bad, Hypocrite!!

@@bluewaters2231 In 1815, the British Army tried to conquer Nepal, but it was easily defeated by Nepal’s warriors: the Gurkhas. So the British officers decided that, if they couldn’t beat them, they’d get the Gurkhas to join them. A peace agreement ceased all British conquest in Nepal, and the Gurkhas agreed to be recruited into the Crown’s military.
In 1945, Rifleman Lachhiman Gurung was stationed in a trench with only two other men when over 200 Japanese soldiers opened fire. Gurung’s comrades were severely wounded. As grenades flew in one after another, Gurung tried to throw each one back.
He was successful with the first two, but the third exploded in his right hand. His fingers were blown off and his face, body, and right arm and leg were badly wounded.
As the Japanese stormed the trench, Gurung used his left hand to wield his rifle, defeating 31 enemies and preventing the Japanese from advancing. Gurung survived, and was awarded with a Victoria Cross later that year.THIS IS JUST ONE OF MANY STORIES

The name "Gurkha" comes from the hill town of Gurkha from which the Nepalese kingdom had expanded.
The ranks have always been dominated by four ethnic groups, the Gurung and Magar from central Nepal, the Rai and Limbu from the east, who live in villages of impoverished hill farmers. The Victorians identified them as a "martial race", perceiving in them particularly masculine qualities of toughness. Following the partition of India in 1947, an agreement between Nepal, India and Britain meant four Gurkha regiments from the Indian army were transferred to the British Army, eventually becoming the Gurkha Brigade.
Since then, the Gurkhas have loyally fought for the British all over the world, receiving 13 Victoria Crosses between them.
More than 200,000 fought in the two world wars, and in the past 50 years they have served in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Borneo, Cyprus, the Falklands, Kosovo and now in Iraq and Afghanistan.
They serve in a variety of roles, mainly in the infantry but with significant numbers of engineers, logisticians and signals specialists. But their numbers have been sharply reduced from a World War II peak of 112,000 men, and now stand at about 3,500.
During the two world wars 43,000 men lost their lives.
The Gurkhas are now based at Shorncliffe near Folkestone, Kent - but they do not become British citizens.
The soldiers are still selected from young men living in the hills of Nepal - with about 28,000 youths tackling the selection procedure for just over 200 places each year.

plane relying on dogfight capabilities will be shot before they think of entering dogfight arena. finally indian airforce buying rafale is a much awaited step . similarly armies are evolving . Actually the whole point of the Agniveer scheme was to reduce the number soldiers in the army. More than half of our defence budget goes to the salaries and pensions of our soldiers. If you look at the militaries of other strong nations like USA, Russia, France, China, they spend more money on modern weapons than soldiers. Also in case of a sudden war breakout if India needs more men they can hire people who were given military training in the Agniveer Scheme.

I'm 29 but in my high school time, If there was an Agneepath scheme then I would have joined the Indian army. The reason is I may not want my career in the Army but I want to experience Army life and discipline which I admire most and if I change my mind to serve for the rest of my career then also good. Bonus, I will get salary and after competing 4 years I will get 20Lakh which I can use for further studies or open a business. I don't know why you said Gorkha will become jihadists and will go to Afghanistan, is Nepal Hindus become degenerate or communists fckd your brain

@jaydev8148 not saying Gurkhas will be Jihadists neither communist funking my mind. In fact most of us hate communists. In the name of communists, we have seen civil war which lasted for a decade and pushed Nepal 50 years back. We lost our Monarchy, lost our state of Hindu nation because of that civil war.
India and Nepal cannot be compared in same boat. That scheme is logical for Indians and India but you need to know grassroots of Nepal. We have many communities who have been far from education. Government is weak and corrupt. If you have country with massive illiteracy, unstable government, having idle "ex soldiers" who have been trained is the last thing you would wish for. In addition we have huge geo political tension. We get constant monitoring from China, US and India.
During the Nepalese civil war, guerrillas were trained under Tamil Tigers.
And we cannot run our faith upon private companies offering them jobs!

Government of India from 1990s was planning to reduce the numbers of active millitary personals and increase the quality of defence . Now in 2020s we have the required technology and futuristic battle plan to do so.
We have increased our strength in development of indeginous Missiles, tanks, nuclear submarines, battlehips ,AMCA, TEJAS2 are on the way.

Gorkha rifles have age old distinct characters and traditions within itself. Like in 3 GR, recruits are from western part of Nepal from Grg n magar tribes, it is also called paschime paltaan. 11 GR recruits from eastern part of Nepal from rai and limbu tribes, it is also called kirati paltaan. East of kathmandu the regions were historically called wallo, majh and pallo kirat. India can maintain gorkha rifles wholly from Indian recruits but this traditional integrity of the paltaans since two hundred years will be compromised n mayb india will have to re think about tri partite treaty and friendship treaty made with Nepal that allowed them to have gorkha rifles in Indian army, the very reason why Indian gov still wants men from Nepal in higher ratio rather than from indian in gorkha rifles.

One thing that Indians r confused with is that gorkha is not a tribe, race or ethnicity, it is merely a geography a place a hilly kingdom west of kathmandu whose king formed modern Nepal as of now. Originally the gorkha had Dalits, khas chetri, Brahmin, thakuri, gurung and magar by ethnicity. They r also a core tribes that formed its kingdom n its military, the gorkha army that campaigned for unified Nepal as of now. Later British created gorkha regiments and formed tribe based paltaans, like 9 GR recruits chetri and thakuris, 3 GR recruits from gurung and magar, 7 and 10 GR recruited rai and limbu, it has now been merged into 2 RGR n is with British army.
