you get a quiet morning montage
and then i pick fruits and boil them and mangle them and put them in the oven
and then i lie to you about making a bedframe
and then i lay in the grass
and then i stand in the garden for a while
and then i find out my creation is *tart*, but now i know how to do it
and then i try to make that damned bedframe again
and then i don't
and then i haul rocks
and then i get in the way of my roofers
and then i look at a deer
and then i learn about marigolds and also weed a spot by my koi pond
and then i cut a bunch of veggies and stick them in the oven
and then i eat em
and then i make the damned thing
and then you go on with your life and ill see you next time

You can make BRUSCHETTA (w/ goat cheese) using all of those tomatoes, pico de Gallo, salsa, tomato jam for charcuterie boards etc. the possibilities are endless! You have the house of my dreams Hannah. Ty for allowing me to live vicariously through you. 😊

Hannah that bed frame is so beautiful...it has a Bali feel, old, antique...love your duvet color, love the spindles, and your essential oil bottles in bath.....You are a talent Girl.... A big Talent. You are so lucky to have established fruit and vegetables! You could preserve everything with a freeze dryer. They are kinda expensive but so easy to operate,you wouldn’t have to buy much and it would pay for it self
You can also just freeze tomatoes straight from the plant, makes excellent tomato sauce!

I freeze mine too. I used to can, however, I use up it so fast I just freeze my tomatoes now. Hannah, you could do a video on canning. You can make jam too! Love the new place!! 💐
She could probably get a sponsorship from a freeze dryer company. Another vlogger I follow got one free.
Hannah, you just casually showed us a drawing you did that literally looks like it should be in a plant book, LIKE IT WAS NOTHING. So beautiful, so talented!!
You are amazing with your DIY projects! That bedframe would've taken me months to do, and you did it while you were making your new property so livable and beautiful (!!!), on top of laying down stones for the cottage, and so much more! Such a workaholic! You are so talented, from drawings/watercoloring, woodwork to interior design, ....not to mention videography of it all. Outstanding!
Hannah, just a suggestion for support/info on preserving your garden harvest ( your tomatoes in particular). Jess at ( YT Channel) Roots & Refuge Farm is wonderful. She's got tons of vlogs on putting up food from the garden, as well as having a gift for teachingabout all things Homestead - especially growing a garden. She's got great info & also a great heart. Best of Everything in your endeavors. Love your strength, independence & HUMOR! Love that you model for us what 1 woman alone ( mostly) can build & do!

Also, Acre Homestead is great! She gardens and preserves for just her and her husband instead of a huge family of 6+ like most homesteaders which is really helpful imo.

you have so much calendula growing! it made me happy to see you drawing & researching it because it is a MAGNIFICENT skincare oil! if you want to preserve its wonderful resinous buds you should hang them to dry or you can dry the flower tops face down on an old window screen then infuse them into a light oil like jojoba or even olive oil for like a month! best facial oil ever. you can also eat it! hehe

I'm also a mom of three adult children, all of them accomplished in various ways. I've followed Hannah's journey since she bought the other property and am always floored by her attitude and persistence. I loved the other property but this one is absolutely ideal for her. Can't wait to see all she does from here!

I love that Hannah accepts herself in every moment of her life...with apartment. without home. .in Minnesota with family and friends...living in her car alone without anyone and away from everyone....with no special guy....with guys here and there...a guy....kinda a guy?!?!...taking mice out of her house everyday to a random field... finding a mouse for a real friend...living in a couple cottages... living in a house and cottages!!! Her Real Life Journey...enjoy your life story with it's unique footprint!!!!
You could always cut tomatoes in half and dry them in the oven. They’d be like sun-dried tomatoes. Also, if you freeze tomatoes it’s easier to get the skins off them when you’re ready to use them. You could also make tomato paste and freeze that in an old ice cube tray to use in small amounts in soups or sauces. I’ve had way too many tomatoes before and had to look up all kinds of ways of using and preserving them. 😊

I think the people were getting older and couldn't maintain the property. They wanted to be closer to family. I believe she talked about it when she told us she bought the house. I could of made that all up in my mind!! But she did mention the owners.

You seem to be able to do everything you set your mind to. You are an inspiration to this unmotivated older lady. They fact you know how to do all these home improvement, gardening and other construction tasks. Then on top of that you are an artist and you can sing. You are an incredible young lady. Your mouse friend is a riot to watch. Never seen a mouse so active. So cute.
Yea. Both her houses seem to be in nature, which I love& feel it gives such a peaceful feel. We just made the leap to start over to live our “dream” to be more self sufficient and simple but just being in a place that makes your soul happy gives you the motivation to make h feel you can do anything u set your mind to.
I haven't watched your videos in a while and you suddenly became a cooking person. Not only that you cook, but you also grow your own veggies and preserve them. I'm so impressed by how you find ways to do new things by yourself every few months. I came to your channel when you were sewing in a flat in a bigger city and stayed for van content and rebuilding the cottage and now I will come back for gardening and what ever you will come up with.

If you get overrun by tomatoes you can core them and throw them in the freezer and deal with them later! As they thaw the skins will come right off. I’m so impressed with all that you accomplish!! ❤👏🏼

Your drawings are very pretty. I wish there were plant books for kids with realistic looking plants. I was thinking of getting more into sketching and water coloring so I can show my niece some of the plants that I like. I'm going to look into getting some materials today after you showing us that sketch you did.
Maybe you'll like botanicum by Katie Scott. The illustrations are in a style that is fairly easy to copy yourself. There are also books that teach nature journaling. They are great for adults and kids I think!

FYI if you wash, core the top and cut a x in the bottom of your tomatoes you can put them in a bag in the freezer and get to them when you have time. Like a cold winter day 😊 also when they thaw the skins just slip off 😮 much easier

I can't believe I just saw you making liutenitsa, Hannah! (лютеница in bulgarian) It's a traditional bulgarian kind of food with red peppers, tomatos, onion, eggplant and we also add garlic, carrots and some spices. And this is exactly how we eat it with a slice of bread. It's sooo good and tasty and we prepare it for the winter in jars, then boil them for like 10 mins or something.
