Ah thanks for tuning in Jimmy, great to have you joining in and contributing to our community. Three of my favourite episodes also! Hope you’re enjoying the festive period and a very Happy New Year to you! Sláinte
Just the sound of your voices make me want to crack a bottle, which I will be doing soon! Cheers and Merry Christmas!! From Broken Arrow, Oklahoma USA.
Reckon you’re struggling(as in being able to fully appreciate)some of these drams after hitting the deck running 🏃♂️ with that incredible sounding Talisker ‼️🥃 Great podcast
The Talisker was incredible place to start and you’re potentially right with setting the bar too high but we wanted to ensure fresh pallets for at least that one! Thanks for joining in, hope you’re enjoying the festivities! Sláinte
Merry Christmas Gents. Another great episode!! Too many good episodes to pick one. The Wire Works, Whisky of the year part 1 (I’ve gone on to buy a few of these bottles). Arran, all of them are great. My Christmas drams this year. Bunnahabhain 12 and NcNean Rebels Annabelle (love to see you feature some NcNean soon) Looking forward to the whisky of the year part 2. Keep up the tremendous work. Slainte Mhath
Merry Christmas! Sounds like you’ve followed along most of this year which is great and NcNean is definitely one we can get into the lineup. Thank you for the incredible support, our community makes this all so worthwhile. Sláinte
@@TheWhiskyBaron we went on the bottle to barley tour (three of us) and opened our bottles for Christmas - we’re going to do the Eat, Sleep, Dram Repeat next time we go up there for sure Merry Christmas 🎄
@@joetrigg5378 both are incredible tours but I have to say, you have something really special lined up. Happy New Year and let us know when you're over in Campbeltown!
Merry Christmas guys, you know what, honestly it's hard to say what is my favourite episode, all are different but all equally entertaining, interesting and fun.
Merry xmas guys ☃️ thank you for all the awesome podcast ❤ About the peat levels question, the peaty and meaty/earthy flavors come in a later stage of distillation which means cutting lower & wider, combine that with the approach of narrow & high ABV cuts for spirits that are planned for short maturation like Octomore... and you get just a small piece of the stated pre distillation ppm number. (But its def one of my favs)
Merry Christmas Luke, thanks for being an awesome part of our community and joining in with details like this! Hope you’re enjoying the festivities my guy; sláinte 🥃🥃
Merry Christmas! I’ll assume that your comments about my age are meant as a compliment given my dashing good looks 😂 Hope you’re having enjoying the down time with a few drams my friend. Sláinte
A very Merry Christmas to you three top gents! Pleased to hear mention of the buttered and fried Christmas Cake again so throwing out the best way to eat it once more: with a nice slice of mature cheddar on top 😉
Happy Christmas guys! The OBA is unique, but thoroughly enjoyed mine. The OBA stood for Octomore Black Art and was intended to be a fusion of peated and sherried spirit. I got hardly any peat, more of a dirty sherry monster. In that sense it’s a true outlier for an Octomore. Cheers!
Glad to hear someone else opened theirs! Spot on, it really is unique and such an interesting dram - delighted I’ve finally tried it! Hope you’re enjoying the festive period malt man! Sláinte 🥃
Merry Christmas Luke, I hope you’re having a cracking time in Melbourne and enjoying the festivities. Thanks for the support - we’ll see you on New Years Day!
You's are too spoiled for choice as most of us plebs would be in whisky heaven! I've enjoyed too many episodes to pick one out so keep it up you spoilt brats.
Last drop episode for people history and worm tub episode for distilling style history. Thanks for expanding my horizon gents!
Thanks for joining us Jacob, your support is greatly appreciated! Stay tuned - we’ve got lots more planned 🥃 sláinte
Festive greetings to all. Springbank and Last drop, best watch of the year. Talisker gets 3rd.
Always enjoy good banter.

A nice ‘Wet’ cask 😊

Merry Christmas Luke, I hope you’re having a cracking time in Melbourne and enjoying the festivities. Thanks for the support - we’ll see you on New Years Day!
I think Top Gear/JamesMay used the 4xdistilled whisky to run the car, not Octomore. I presume the 4xdistilled was a failure as it was quietly dropped.
I need to find this, sounds like mad craic
Great episode 😁 & Stevie, keep the jokes c*mming 😂
Great show guys , what time are you going live on the 1st? Slainte from the Highlands
Sláinte Hamish! Wishing you a Merry Christmas in the Highlands. We’ll have the New Years Day episode going live in the AM so stay tuned 🥃
