Disney in the 1980s and 90s give me a certain nostalgic feeling and this version of the Twilight Zone theme says it all. One of the best versions of the theme yet.
Only the one at Disneyland in California is leaving (it's being replaced by a Guardians of the Galaxy ride) the original, and the ones and Paris and Tokyo arn't going away
The broken glasses... I remember that episode... some bank teller survived an explosion in the bank vault, he likes to read. e was beginning to enjoy the post apocalyptic event, but breaks his glasses. I cant exactly remember everything that happened in that episode, but I am positive I got the right one.
Ya ur both right, Time enough at last brings up the warnings of be careful what you wish for, he wants to just have his own time to read alone forever but loses his sight, wife, job, and sign of reality
2017...i went about 10 years ago in Florida. I was so scared but my kids had to ride with an adult, so I got on. The lady behind me noticed my fear and said " when it feels warm, that that is right before the elevator is about to drop" this helped a lot because I hated being in the dark and not knowing when it was going to drop. I did not enjoy the ride at all bit my kids 8 and 9 loved it!
jorge alan Its literally the same ride with an Different theme. At least be thankful that Disney didn't decide to demolish it and build something completely new. So stop complaining.
+🍜Kenpachi Ramasama🍱 in California adventure there is tower terror there shutting the ride Down t o convert it over to marvels guardians if the galaxy but its still going to be tower of terror technically Disney is dumping the liscence for twilight zone and the holy wood tower hotel one to but its only the California adventure on the Florida will not be touched ad of now
+Halloween Crazy I found that out after I wrote the comment they couldn't change the one in Florida even if they wanted to marvel has a valid contract with universal there
+Sean Ghertner I'm just really disappointed that they're going to make DCA Hollywood backlot marvel land or whatever. I think they're actually removing bugs land. Well it can be implied that they ate
OMG HALF OF THESE COMMENTS ARE ‘bye tower of terror’ ‘I can’t believe it’s going!’ ‘Ugh it’s gonna be replaced by Guardians of the galaxy!’ IT CLEARLY STATES THIS IS ABOUT THE ONE IN FLORIDA THEY HARDLY EVEN MENTIONED THE ONE IN CALIFORNIA
I had just ridden tower of terror on thanksgiving of 2015. I am 12 and it didn't scare me, I loved it, but it scared my 9 year old cousin, she hated it. Not trying to give you guys a bad review, I loved the ride and I can't wait to go again
They brought this to japan... but with changes... essentially you walk through what seems like an abandoned hotel (looking very similar to the haunted mansion), then eventually get seated in an elevator and are dropped what seems like 2-3 storeys ... not as thrilling... I went to florida when i was 13 - none of my family wanted to ride the tower of terror, and my mum didnt want me going on alone - so i never got to experience it :-(
The french version is really good i think it is even higher than the one in California but im not sure all i know that it's my favourite attraction of all time
I've ridden this ride once when I as younger, haven't ridden it in a while. After the first ride, it felt like I was going to vomit because I had this weird feeling in my stomach
I remember the first time I rode this ride at MGM Studios, I went to bed that night and had the weirdest dream. The elevator took me to like, 5 different worlds and I woke up the next morning not remembering that I was a human. hahahahaha
I remember when I was little I used to call the bellhop at 17:39 Colin after my cousin because I used to think he was so cute! The commercial with him in it was so cool! Can't wait to go back to Disney and see the Tower!
When kirk cameron opened that box that screamed, instead of screaming, the box should have yelled SAVE CHRISTMAS!!! That would have been more terrifying
I might ride this ride next year. Maybe during the summer, I'm so nervous about going on the ride though, I'm not sure if I should go on it. You can reply to this comment and tell me if u should ride the tot or should I not?
I rode it last month, during my trip to WDW for the first time. I've been at least 8 times and have always been terrified of it. If you get a +fastpass, you can't really back out unless you just don't show up, that's how I got myself on it. After riding it, it's my favorite ride out of all the parks. I ended up riding it again! I just recommend not bringing little kids on it, it's pretty scary for a child.
15 years ago? thats old. not really for a Disney attraction but still. its one of the best themed and best built attractions at Disney. It will always be no.1 at DHS
I was on this ride many years ago. Like early 2000's. I remember there was no seatbelt just a metal bar to hang onto and due to me being so light weight I came very close pretty much of getting lifted right on the seat. I literally grabbed the bar at the last second. Then I remember telling my dad after the ride was over. Then I believe two months later in the news, one of my family members actually said "hey did you know some person got hurt in the Tower of terror." spooked me. Also there was no bellhops riding with you in the ride, it seems to be a new thing I guess.
you are about to discover what lies beyond the 5th dimension in the deepest, darkest corner in your imagination in the Tower Of Terror! *DROPS!* "AAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!"
According to what I have heard, they are adding new rooms for the randomized tower to go through. I think they are either adding new ones or changing the current ones.
Twilight Zone just isn't grabbing younger audiences any more -.- Shame really...But then again, we've all lost other awesome rides too...Back To The Future comes to mind. I just came here to say how much I hate Kirk Cameron lol
JayGatzVFXsk8r There was a back to the future ride at disneyland? and i think a lot of people like tower of terror however for some reason people think the ride is scary but its just fun in my opinion.the biggest shame is that people dont even know what the twilight zone is.if you go wait in line for the ride you can probably here someone explaining that the ride is partially based on the tv show.in my opinion thats just sad
I was gonna go on the Tower of Terror when went to Disney World in 2019, but I did not because I chickened out! LOL. I kinda regret doing because I never got to experience one of the best rides in the Disney Parks. I can't stand the feeling of free falling! I think it's painful! hopefully I can train myself to get used to that feeling and maybe... just maybe... I might try out rides that have free falling, ESPECIALLY the Tower of Terror
Wasn't the cracked glasses from one of the Twlight episodes where one guy wanted piece and quiet? Cuz that's a great easter egg! too bad the one at Disneyland no longer operates which really sucks so now I have to go all the way to Florida to go on it
This has to be one of Disney's best rides yet. The interior/exterior is so detailed and the imagineers did a superb job of capturing the time period.
What song with the piano is it called?
Ok but which one
Disney in the 1980s and 90s give me a certain nostalgic feeling and this version of the Twilight Zone theme says it all. One of the best versions of the theme yet.
probably one of the most well made rides in the world...
SamTEG Woodruff I wanna kill myself if I went on it
Emerald Gamer is this story real lol
@@turtleneer1319 you wouldn't have loved the lap belt then when it was allowed.
@@twosisters4974 Yes
Until you actually factor in the source material it's supposed to be based on.
Here's to 12 years of thrills, chills, and spills. It's been a real *scream*, Tower of Terror. You will be missed.
So sad...one of my favourite rides.
It's staying at WDW thankfully.
JEALOUS!!
This one is still going to be there, the Disneyland one is the one that's going
Only the one at Disneyland in California is leaving (it's being replaced by a Guardians of the Galaxy ride) the original, and the ones and Paris and Tokyo arn't going away
it's amazing how old this ride is yet its still one of the best.
Let’s just pray🙏 and hope they never change it
Amazing that 10 years have past since you posted this comment. What a decade eh?
Merry Christmas 2023.
This is a fantastic documentary
+Theme Park Worldwide weird finding you here mate.
So do u watch things like this all the time?
Omg I didnt know u commented on here love ur vids 😸
Ikr? I can’t stop watching it
Cool to see you here!
I love how much work and detail Disney puts into the design of each ride. To me, that's much more important than the thrill factor!
This is like SUPER 90's 😂
I love it more for that
3:47 The little girl was trying to get out, she was the smartest person in that elevator.
Lol
SourRazzles
SourRazzles true but the other people did not know what was going to happen
No she was trying to get more pictures of herself.
Sally was always a Good girl
When I rode it the hotel worker just said if you have any problems just scream
Sean Pamintuan I remember that, it was awesome
What song is with the piano called?
Sean Pamintuan I saw that in video.
The broken glasses... I remember that episode... some bank teller survived an explosion in the bank vault, he likes to read. e was beginning to enjoy the post apocalyptic event, but breaks his glasses. Ya ur both right, Time enough at last brings up the warnings of be careful what you wish for, he wants to just have his own time to read alone forever but loses his sight, wife, job, and sign of reality
Happy to find a version of this that's without commercials. And kudos for not stretching this video to the modern 16/9 size.
I absolutely love this ride. Especially the ambiance and story
Does anybody remember watching this so many times as a kid
2017...i went about 10 years ago in Florida. I was so scared but my kids had to ride with an adult, so I got on. i came out of that ride genuinely shaking my knees in fear. just goes to show how effective it was
Great, now i will have to travel all the way to Florida to be able to ride this :/
jorge alan It's better in Florida anyway.
jorge alan its in paris
jorge alan Its literally the same ride with an Different theme. At least be thankful that Disney didn't decide to demolish it and build something completely new. So stop complaining.
Trust me it’s worth it
its in Paris and Orlando so go to the closest
One of my favorite my Disney rides. Never gets old to me.
I love this documentary! All my memories are coming back when I rode this ride back in 2011! It was AWESOME!
I went there in december 😃
Simone Lila Nice! This ride is truly amazing! Holding your hands up is a must do on this ride!
+ThemeParkJunkie51290 i know this ride 😉 we are every year in disneyland paris since 2011.. My sister works in disneyland in a hotel 😊
Simone Lila I always wanted to visit Disneyland Paris. Hopefully, I'll be able to take my first international theme park trip soon.
+ThemeParkJunkie51290 you have to go there!! And to the europapark in rust (germany) too!! Its realy cool!!! 😃
This ride was terrifying.... I was literally scared out of my mind
Kirk Cameron, stay away from Disney and go save Christmas again
its an unexplainable story that he explains LMFAO
Lol
No, Ernest already did!
R.I.P. Tower of terror...may you be forever in my memory 😥

Man camera quality has gotten so much better since then
What amazes is me how much effort into one ride yet they literally came up with the concept for DCA over night 0.o.
I loved this ride so much after first riding it decades ago, that made a recreation in my home.
OMG HALF OF THESE COMMENTS ARE ‘bye tower of terror’ ‘I can’t believe it’s going!’ ‘Ugh it’s gonna be replaced by Guardians of the galaxy!’
IT CLEARLY STATES THIS IS ABOUT THE ONE IN FLORIDA
THEY HARDLY EVEN MENTIONED THE ONE IN CALIFORNIA
Here's to 12 years!! Us imagineers are sad to see you go Tower!! We wish the new ride good luck! Love you Hollywood tower hotel...🥂
So awesome to see the changes in ToT, i remember when it was just one straight fall. before the Computer Automated Version now a days
When was this video made? Looks at least 20 years old. Music is even older.
I had just ridden tower of terror on thanksgiving of 2015. I am 12 and it didn't scare me, I loved it, but it scared my 9 year old cousin, she hated it. Not trying to give you guys a bad review, I loved the ride and I can't wait to go again
It scared me but it was so fricken awesome I love it
i travelled from Australia to get onto that one when it opened and still think it's my favourite attraction. Thanks for uploading the vid.
They brought this to japan... but with changes... essentially you walk through what seems like an abandoned hotel (looking very similar to the haunted mansion), then eventually get seated in an elevator and are dropped what seems like 2-3 storeys ... not as thrilling...

The Japanese one doesn't have a Twilight Zone theme, either
The french version is really good i think it is even higher than the one in California but im not sure all i know that it's my favourite attraction of all time
They are all the exact same height.
Paul D You still might! They only changed the California one.
Paul D me either
Hm . . . this is kind of random, but I really loved the opening script in this video.

This is the coolest ride ever! I can’t wait to ride it over and over gain when I go back to WDW this May.

gotta love the music at 00:01
When kirk cameron opened that box that screamed, instead of screaming, the box should have yelled SAVE CHRISTMAS!!!
That would have been more terrifying
Amazing wow. Anyone remember the lap belt in the front seat? 😎
when i rode it the hotel worker said that if you wanted to exit, that time has passed a second ago :(
I could have sworn there was some sort of grand opening show for Florida’s tower of terror where fireworks went off in the back.
I might ride this ride next year. Maybe during the summer, I'm so nervous about going on the ride though, I'm not sure if I should go on it. You can reply to this comment and tell me if u should ride the tot or should I not?
JUS DO ET
+Bailey L are you kidding? best ride in WDW, you won't regret it.
+Bailey L go for it at least if you don't like it you don't have to go on it the next time but it is great
I rode it last month, during my trip to WDW for the first time. I've been at least 8 times and have always been terrified of it. Bailey L Absolutely. Honestly, the scariest part is getting on and going through the line. Once you're on it's not bad.
I miss this ride so much T.T
Anyone think Chadtronic should react to this?
It's in Orlando, he clearly says it near the beginning of the video.
The ride scared the creams out of me! Can't wait to go again! Because somehow I flew even though the beat belt was tight
I really hope someday I can have a house decorated like that. It really reminds me of how my old house used to be!
The best ride ever
The almighty ToT. All hail! I hope this attraction never changes .
This guy is in his early 60s now. Man that makes me feel old.
This documentary made me go to the 50s
favorite ride in Hollywood studios!
Holy sweet Mary mother of fudge! That guy was so creepy! And such a good reaction! Thumbs up! ;)

Who would dislike this? This is so fcking interesting!
I'm going to miss you my old friend you came right after my ride was built I love you
we need to protest. my little sister was so excited to go on this when she was tall enough but she cant now
actually, this post was a joke, i live in Florida, not California. they are tearing the one down in California.
yeah, it seems pretty good as well.
JJBOY She still can! The California adventure version is changing! The original, this one, is staying :)
According to what I have heard, they are adding new rooms for the randomized tower to go through. I think they are either adding new ones or changing the current ones.
Just watching again to hear the song at 12:09
Does anyone actually know who composed it? Some of the sound effects actually sound similar to the sound effects from the original Star Tours queue
Why would Disney want to get rid of this
Disney has gone way too far
