Why Should You Clean Your PPE Regularly?
Cleaning your gear helps remove contaminants, oils, grease, and hydrocarbon deposits from smoke that can cause PPE to ignite. This is a preventative measure that reduces contaminant exposure absorption while protecting your gear's fabrics.
When Should You Perform a PPE Cleaning?
PPE Cleanings must be completed twice per year by the element manufacturer, a manufacturer-trained organization, a verified organization, or a verified ISP. Gear that is soiled shall receive advanced cleaning before reuse.
