I remember Rihanna saying she used to get horrible headaches as a kid for many years. They thought she had a tumor. Turned out it was the stress of her parents arguing all the time. Once they divorced her headaches stopped.

Yesssss!!! I am so feeling THIS.
I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis in 1992. I was very sick. I got better (after divorce)…then I became a caregiver for my very ill mom…and became sick again. Toxic relationships will wear you down if you don’t stand up and take care of yourself.!
Every Sunday is My Day…period. Every day you wake up is a call make sure you’re ok, then you’re better able to play the hand life deals you❤

I was just speaking with my homeboy and I said I refuse to let these men kill me with sickness. A lot of black women die from cancer. We forget stress is a risk factor for cancer.

My mother was almost bedridden due to autoimmune issues. Once she divorced my father, her thyroid regulated and she doesn’t need medication anymore and she no longer has autoimmune issues.

These doctors don't like to tell us that a lot of issues are spiritual/mental/emotional, God gave us the power to heal.. not always by miraculous feats but letting go of what's not for us

I’m happy for her getting and feeling better. We can’t underestimate the role stress can play in our health.

A powerful message. I know full well the horrors of Sarcoidosis, and those flare ups are the worse. It is vital to keep your stress levels down. I don’t tolerate any stressful people, places or things any longer and my life is so much better ❤️

I think people underestimate how serious stress can affect autoimmune diseases.
Even when we think we're handling relationships & hardships well, the body says otherwise.

I couldn’t get my pressure down and came down with thyroid problems along with stress but when I moved to another state from my children and grandchildren. I am doing great and much happier. They say stress kills but I say people kills because they stress the life out of you.

I suffered an autoimmune disease for the entirety of my 9 year toxic marriage. Once I left, my mental and physical health did a 180. My husband created a hostile environment and sucked the joy out of everyone in the house. We all left and are thriving.

This is soo true!! After my divorce my health got better. My fibroids shrank tremendously, my hormones balanced, my hair started flourishing, skin looks better, and other things. I look back at old pics of when I was married those 10 yrs, I truly look different now. lol!

A close family friend told me my fibroids likely came back due to the stress from my marriage... I believe her now.

I contracted asthma while married to my 2nd husband, was also intubated 😢but once I divorced him I worked with my doctor and got off all medication. My asthma was “stress related”!

I appreciated your take on how parents need to be aware of what they say about the other parent in front of the kids. I would LOVE to get your take on issues like Parental Alienation. I had no idea how often this happens.

Some people are so stressful that continued interaction with them will cause disease, premature aging, or even cancer. Stay far away from them.

@@angelaspalace7988 ... The point is -> that Tisha doesn't have to be careful how she speaks about her ex (ie, their father) around them because they are now adults. I am sure their children are wise enough to figure out what is going on. Their father was controlling when they were married most likely because Tisha was the bread winner and the rumors about their father and Will Smith have not been debunked.
