Great video! The funny thing is, I am from India, and was not aware of the existence of this particular pencil (Apsara Absolute) till I saw this video. Just bought a box last year! We can find them in just about any stationery shop!!
RixCanDoit The reason why the tip broke is because you sharpened it to much, but I agree that the sharpener it comes with is not as good as the platinum's
These pencils are from INDIA. wow . If you have a tour to INDIA buy one these pencils will be in every stationery.. because when i see the video i see that its written in Mrp.Rs 70 watch the MRP on 3:04
Just received some of these last month... I wish they were easier to get in the US; for me, they are up there in the 'scary good given price' category such as the General's Cedar and Semi-Hex No. 1...
They are really great pencils. I enjoy the Apsara brand very much and have them in my "favorite" category along with the 2014 Staedtler Norica and all the Blackwings (for writing purposes). The price is right also. Someone commented that in the US Walmart sells the Apsara rebranded as Casemate. I'll be testing this out shortly in another video once I get these at Walmart.
i have been writing with pencils for a long time now . and recently i got a renewed interest in writing with pencils . these are really amazing pencils , but have you tried the apsara drawing pencils , they are amazing too. . p.s. i collect pens and pencils too , but i am an amateur/ beginner
That's funny in the comments. I mean I am from India And they are pretty cheap here I think the manufacturer is in india You can get a box of platinum one in a dollar.
Yes, I know. We have to pay more. But then, you know you have to pay more for pencils outside of India, like the Staedtler's and Mitsubishi's. So I guess it all pans out.
@@RixCanDoit Yes, staedtlers are hellishly expensive. And mitsubishi 9800 HBs are no longer available from the Uni-ball India website. Good I got them only for Rs 180 ($ 2.50) a dozen, while they were there. Have your ever paid that little in USA for Mitsubishi?
It's okay. The sharpener I got from the Platinum is much better as it has a STOP and prevents over sharpening. I don't like to work hard at sharpening as I want to get back to my writing or drawing. So if I have to pay attention to how long I'm sharpening, it falls into my "not as cool" pile of sharpeners.
@@rabiyaansari2325 You have dozens, but I brought only one box 2 years back. I gave away 6 or 8. And the remaining are still in use. They refuse to break.

I just buy them online. Google. Often it's Amazon.

Great review..by the way ever wondered about the meaning of the word APSARA??? I m from India though
What does it mean?
It means fairy or angel
Not fairy.A fairy is "pari".Apsara is angel.
Wish I had enough money to buy these pencils like the palomino and these apsara especially since I can't buy them locally
That's funny in the comments.

It has no stop, so the point had to be watched as it was sharpened.
Platinum and Absolute sharpeners are nothing but the same 😑
@@denise55 But that sharpener had no stop piece placed. Now they have.

They are dark in writing because you give pressure when you wrote .
Actually, that isn't true. I have a light hand when using pencils.
