The Skyleader 400 Is A Modern Cheap Trainer Aircraft For Flight Schools in the united states and around the world. With your standard light sport performance, the 400 comes in as a contender but at only $140,000 fully equipped.
For a brand new plane that’s nice. Especially for a new pilot.
Beautiful Airplane! It needs a 914 Turbo !
thanks for featuring us. Happy to provide any additional information. Oshkosh is just around the corner, hope you all have a good one.👍
Do you have any Canadian dealers?
Did you say a 914 Turbo was a powerplant option?
@@ahashdahnagila6884 No, Rotax is stoping production of the 914 Turbo. So the only engine options for the Skyleader 400 are the 912 UL, ULS or 912 iS .
Wow that is an insane deal
great looking interior.
Is it being sold right now? Thanks!
Remember the speeds and number of seats and all are limited due to this being a LSA aircraft. For good specs you need to get a private pilots license and fly more capable planes.
If flight schools are using these, isn't that good enough?
Very nice. Wish I can buy it in someday....
ok interesting but it's a shame that a lot of LSA makers don't bother keeping up with the times and making 915 versions. Only the greedy producers to that and end with 3-400k price tags.
Has the audio been AI processed? it muffles the speech so might not be worth it.
Nice plane, still bit pricey for flight school. Still get 172 or 162 for less. Maybe replace rotax with chinese rotax or better viking engine reduce cost by 20K easy.
That is not bad considering what you're getting.
I love it!
100k is considered cheap now?
It is. When you look at a decent older Cessna 172 it is around 200k.
Dudé get a grip.. the average BMW Audi Mercedes are $85 and not with really any opctions no $130 for a brand new plane?? It's awesome
Hellzzzzz yeah that's cheap for what you get with this.
All metal. My kind of plane.
Not everyone has the only fans prowess to purchase this "cheap" plane, but in perspective cheap trash buying expensive cheap stuff is how the world works these days.
not bad at all
The word "Cheap" when used in referring to anything aviation is just fantasy. In the case of this aircraft, the Skyleader 400, $130K seems to be a good bang for the buck - but NOT "cheap".
I suppose it’s all relative. Even a used Grumman AA1 that is decent is about 40,000.
@@damianketcham It's expendable income. Depends on how much is expendable for purchase, and going forward.
Yeah! like cheap compared to what? A kidney or two? 😅
this is the one more on this plane and how to buy
I was hoping the video was 10 years old so I could buy a used one.
Love it but only a rotax 912?? 110 knots 😢 40 gallons of gas ⛽? 65 lbs of luggage 🛅 only?? Very weak numbers
Compare it to a Cessna 150. I think that you are unreasonably negative.
@@jessegarman7899
And a Cessna 150 won't get "30 miles per gallon".
Call me old fashioned, but there is NO world in which i’d consider 130 grand “cheap”
It is when you compare it to a new Cessna 172 with similar avionics. The base model 172 is
$400,000. A well equipped 172 is around 800 to 900k.
@@damianketcham Excelente point ☝🏻 Bro.
In aviation that’s cheap….even new boats most are more that 130k now days
@@damianketchamit’s super cheap in a aviation for a new trainer airplane. Piper and Cessna sell theirs for over $300K.
@@brianb5594
I know! 130k isn’t that bad.
Most nice cars and trucks will set you back 60k to 80k.
Useless under new mosaic rules. Too slow and too light. They will need to do better!
