Keep this in mind, if you have a cookie cutter that has accidentally been bent out of shape and you try to bend it back in to shape, it will never be perfect. So cookies made by that cookie cutter won't be perfect. We are looking for "perfection" in politics. Which will, since humans today are flawed, never happen. Only Jesus can do that. Until then, don't look to people as the solution, only look to the Bible as THE guidance and solution.
When I was young, there were Republicans who were economically conservative but culturally progressive. We called them Rockefeller Republicans.
Trump, and his first term, played to a base that was conservative, and included pop Christianity, especially Word of Faith and NAR.
This time, Trump removed many conservative goals from his platform and moved several stances significantly to the left.
Trump has become a Rockefeller Republican. As usual, I find myself holding my nose and voting for the candidate who will do the least damage.
That do many Christians support Trump so enthusiastically says a lot about how bad the alternative is. It also says a lot about how little people are paying attention to the issues.
I do not like a lot of her decisions but, it's not my place to judge.
So, a former lady of the night can't change her mind and begin to walk a better path that will hopefully lead her to Jesus? Would you say the same thing to Mary Mageline? None of us really knows her, maybe we should wait to judge. Hopefully, she will buck the trend and prove us wrong by becoming a Godly woman. Until then remember this is political war, and war makes for strange bedfellows. If she can get the message out to those who have been brainwashed by the leftist media, then I hope she does.
The problem is that people think that being a conservative is equal to being a Christian
The Republican Party was founded and created by a Christians who elected a Christian president named Abraham Lincoln to end slavery. It was the party of abolition. They believed all men are created equal in the eyes of God. Our whole nation was founded on Judeo Christianity. But this last generation was fed lies in the public school system and universities and demonic controlled entertainment world- our heritage was taken away by evil antichrist Atheists in power . In other words, we have a dumbed down Bible constitution illiterate nation who prefers to follow darkness not light. They’re ignorant of the facts of their heritage. As Carl Marx said communist, dictator responsible for millions of death and torture. “Take away the heritage of a nation. They are easily deceived easily persuaded easily controlled. “. We are there. We have a totally insane delusional generation of people so spiritually blind they believe anything. Even they can choose their sex! Delusionals! The RNC puts a stripper up in front of the world to be what? A Role model? Shameful. She is not repentant of her wicked lifestyle and words. She’s mock Jesus and Christians calling Jesus and a cult leader and us a cult followers. Seriously? Is that the best RNC can do? Sad. I may leave them again. Listen. We’re all sinners we all have a past and we all need to saved by Jesus Christ who paid for our sins. Died on the cross and rose again. Hundreds saw him it’s documented. If she calls him a cult leader. How wicked. But Jesus still loves her and he’s waiting for her to turn to him. But her stubborn heart probably won’t. I pray for her it does and all people because judgment day is coming soon. What evil days. Just like Jesus said it would be before he returns. I pray for her soul. I pray for America because she’s about to go down.

Absolutely correct. I am a Christian. I vote Republican only because it aligns more with my values as a Christian. I Absolutely could never vote Democrat because of the abortion issue.

I suppose many are not old enough to remember how much a part of American society Christianity used to be. For instance, many American newborn sons still get circumsized, but how could we forget this comes from Judaism via Christianity?

As a Christian, I am voting for a President, not a religious figure. In the ungodly world of politics, I am not naive enough to assume that Donald Trump, or any other candidate, is born again. (But I do pray for their salvation.) I vote for the candidate who I believe will more closely protect the values and freedoms of this country. Bottom line, I care most about Christians being free to live, preach, and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in America. He and He alone can save this nation. Christ is the Savior, not a politician.

So just a disclaimer… I’m not American and have no dog in the fight. However, I’ve watched in amazement, quite frankly, at how over the past 8 years Trump has managed to mobilize a following with a loyalty that I’ve never witnessed in my lifetime.

I totally agree with your POV about conservatism vs. Trumpism and find it completely ironic that A. Rose could call Jesus a cult leader and not see that her opinion of Jesus would classify Trump as a cult leader as well. The one problem is that Jesus is God, Trump is not.

Totally agree, I see so many Christian’s “worshipping’ DT from back in 2016. I do support him politically and while I did not vote for him in 2016, I did so in 2020 and will do so in 2024. He is a very flawed man. Christians need to recognize that he is NOT our savior. He will NOT fix the problems in American only God can. God will when HE chooses to do so and we need to see that.
Maybe it's just because I'm not regularly around people who do this (I am often around Trump supportsrs, mind you), but I don't see anyone worshipping him. His base constantly criticizes him for one thing. The dude has literally been booed by his own supporters at his rallies before. The treatment of Obama, THAT was worship. Some people claim that Trump is a man specifically chosen by God for a special purpose (and after Saturday, it's hard to disagree at this point lol). In contrast, Obama was literally framed as Jesus Christ himself. You may not like the idea of someone believing that someone like Trump is being used by God, but that isn't anywhere near the same thing.
Will God fix America? Is that what the Bible says in prophecy? It is only going to get much worse then it will get MUCH better when Jesus returns!

We have the writing of the disciples of the Apostles and the disciples of those disciples, and they not only quote much of the New Testament, but all the core idea of Christianty are present. Jesus being God, the Son of God, dying for sins, burial, resurrection, ascension to heaven.
We also have writing of Jewish and Pagan contemporary historians who were hostile towards Jesus, who say the same things : Jesus being worshipped as God, the Son of God, dying for on the cross, burial, resurrection.
The archeology matches the Bible perfectly all the way from Genesis through the New Testament.
It's mainly because of the archeology, "friendly" writers, and "hostile" writers mentioned above that the Jesus Seminar, who are PhD level ashiest/agnostics who study Christ and the Bible, concluded that Jesus really lived in Judea 2,000 years ago, was known as a miracle workers, died on the cross under Pilate, and that his disciples really believed they had seen him risen from the dead.
The fact that there are contradictions between manuscripts is often sited as proof against trusting scripture, when it actually does the opposite. The fact that there are so many manuscripts makes it easy to tell when someone changed one, and modern Bibles are transparent about any differences in the footnotes. Over 5,000 manuscripts in the original Greek and 20,000 in other lanuages. None of those differences found between manuscripts change anything about any core doctrines of Christianity, they are mainly a handwriting error on a letter or a different way to word something that means the same thing. There is 99.5% accuracy between the manuscripts according to scholars.
There is also all the undisigned coincidence between not only the four Gospels, but the rest of the New and Old Testaments too.

Josephus, the Jewish historian, tells us about the things Archelaus did and how evil he was. Put these two peices of evidence together, we get the full picture.
This sort of thing happens through the text with the seemingly useless details matching up perfectly with extra Biblical sources, lending to the credibility of the text.

If the tomb wasn't empty, they would've paraded the body around to stomp out any idea of Jesus being ressurrected, but Christianty spread because there was no body in the tomb.
If someone stole the body, why were nearly all the Apostles willing to be killed for saying they'd seen Jesus risen? They were thousands of miles away from one another before phones and the internet and were being threaten, tortured, and murdered for their claim. Not one "broke" and said it was a lie to save themselves.

I thought the Republican Party was a political party…not a Christian organization. I am a conservative who is an orthodox reformed Baptist who knowns literally nothing about the young lady. I’m also almost 76 and have been married to my husband for 54 years….with no tattoos (ha). I took her speech at face value and appreciate her ability to say she was wrong, something that’s difficult for many people to admit. I also thought she was very pretty in an weird way.
People seem to think they are synonymous. They are simple minded people. Amber is likely associating with being republican more than being conservative.
I feel like this is how most normal people look at it.
That’s because you’re old. This is guaranteed to drag the party left socially and morally especially among younger voters. There’s a reason the RNC no longer has a Pro-Life or Pro-Marriage platform and it’s not coming back after Trump. If all you care about is short term political victory then AR is great. If you care about the moral compass of the party and country AR is a step in the wrong direction. There are plenty of other people who changed their mind about Trump who were not actively pushing the culture into deeper and deeper sin.

On reflection, I don't like the way I worded my third sentence because I don't want to reduce people to assets and liabilities. She's a person with a soul who needs God's mercy and grace just as we all do. What I meant was that Republicans shouldn't see her influence as beneficial in terms of gaining votes from more liberal voters but should be cautious about the harm her influence could cause by pulling the party in the wrong direction. She now has a greater opportunity to spread her anti-Christian, pro-Satanist, atheistic, immoral views to young people. I sincerely hope that conservatives and Christians can have a positive influence on her instead, but it's more likely that she will have a negative influence on Republicans.
