I would like to rate Prof Jaqueline Gargus by one of her quotes: faaaabulous. But seriously, these are wonderfully complete lessons and not only that also very pleasant and fun to listen. I am so glad I found her. Thanks!

This woman is just FAAAAABULOUS! I wish I had the opportunity to study with her. I have seen many of these buildings in Rome and her videos have made seeing them so much more interesting and fulfilling. She is just amazing. Love all her lectures!

Funny note: Bernini actually copied or inspired himself in several of Borromini's designs, the perspective of Scala Regia for example built in 1663, it is a copy of Borromini´s work in Galleri Spada built 1653.

Borromini's high moral code (he did not accept money for many of his works), his difficulties with social conventions (he was too honest, said his contemporaries) and his many special interests and capacity with learning, not to mention he was a geometric genius, make me think he was autistic. His melancholy and suicide probably came from a life of confusion by being autistic not knowing what that means, and the social rejection that that entitles; in addition to the frustration of not being recognized for this talent in part because Bernini sided people against him. It's tragic he burned his drawing and suffered so much.
