The bees are the symbol of the Barberini. Bernini used the bees as well in the Baldiquino, everything under Urbano had bees, but it is also true that Borrimini´s churches were commissioned by monastic orders and not the pope, still, I assumed the Bees referred to the pope´s family emblem.
