This video brings back so many memories of my own caving trips in college. The tight spaces were uncomfortable, but being small and flexible, it was fun to navigate the infinite underground mazes. Sometimes the tunnels would open up into massive rooms with the most beautiful formations you have ever seen. And there were waterfalls that you could climb and mini canyons where there was no floor. It was amazing. But vertical caving is a whole other story. I may not be claustrophobic, but I do have a fear of heights.

To all those wishing to try caving please do not under any circumstances take on a cave that's known to flood as a first timer. If you get cold you're probably going to get hypothermia. Some of the areas take time to get through and you're only going to get colder. Take a snack bar with you to keep your energy up. Also get a guide don't panic and remember if you got in you can out as long as your safe.

Sideways because if he was going up the. He would be able to get down without falling and if he was going down then there would be another John Jones incident
I've been obsessed with watching videos like this the last few days. ever since learning about John jones. These videos are so hard to watch but I get a wierd thrill from it.
I give props to those that do this extreme spelunking. I’m not claustrophobic by any means but the thought of being wedged, possibly hundreds of feet below the surface and also in an awkward position gives me the willies.
Imagine waking up in there with no light or equipment. No idea where you are or which way is the correct way out or if it only takes you deeper into the cave. No way to call for help. No food. No water. No one to hear you scream. Just millions of tons of rock and sediment separating you from a fresh breath of air you will never enjoy again. Scary.
Being in a cave is bad enough because it’s stuffy and if an earthquake happens... oh god. But THIS I think I would die straight up. Not even from falling or suffocation, but because of a panic attack
The worst is that If you get stuck and there's no way to get you out it's not gonna be a fast and painless death, you're probably gonna be stuck for days until you die .
Same even if you pack me in a blanket In which i cannot move my arms or anything i get panic attacks i feel like i am not getting Oxygen Or i am going to die I have Claustrophobia its so Scary for me going in these caves 💀
it’s weird but sometimes i watch claustrophobic stuff to relax before bed because i’m so happy i can stretch out and take deep breaths. it just makes me thankful to be cozy and safe and not in their position i guess lol.
Lol you’re never safe! 😂 Don’t know why you think that. You can have a random brain auresym (brain explosion, basically) out of the blue even if you’re healthy. I’ll quote Marshall Mathers: “And at the time, every house we lived in kept gettin’ robbed or shot up on the block” You’re way more likely to smash into the ground because your parachute decided it doesn’t want to open than get stuck in a cave.
Imagine being stuck in a narrow passage all alone, with nobody to help you. All you can do is scream. The thought of never being able to escape the cave alive will haunt anyone.

What amateurs!! You’re supposed to leave torches where you go, so in case you find diamonds you can easily find your way back out of the cave. Watch out for them creepers also...
@@timtamz3223 i know right?! What if they find diamonds?!?! It would be so sad to find them, get lost, and not even be able to find your diamonds again!
Having a panick attack just watching this. Why would anyone want to be the first down a tiny hole not knowing where it goes or even if they will get out
At that point I would bring cyanide capsules with me, so if I get stuck and I know I'm not getting out, I can pop one and be gone in like 45 seconds.....
Yeah man humans naturally are "claustrophobic" because we originated in the savannah. The people who go into uncharted caves unknowing of what could happen to them are BRAINLESS. Send in some small camera-fitted robot to very slowly explore or something.
John Jones died because of a mistake he made. He decided to go head first into an unexplored part of the cave, never do that. I was always claustrophobic and one day, me and my dad went spelunking with a guide. Yes, I have done what you see in this video, in an attempt to cure my claustrophobia. Did it cure it ? No, it made it worse, I needed therapy. Never again.
One day, I went under my bed and my bed's sideboard is close to the floor, when I at the middle my shoulder got stuck there and neither I can't nod my head nor going back. Lastly, I was outside the bed and that time I thought that I got my life. I can feel the pain of that guy with goosebumps. Cave exploring is extremely dangerous and please don't underestimate it. It's not unusual to die in cave.
MJKing In most cases, you should be able to escape on your own. You would need to take deep breaths and stay calm. Panicking wouldn’t do any good in that situation. In the rare instance that you aren’t able to pull or push yourself out, three of your friends must leave the cave in order to contact emergency services. One person should stay with you in order to help you stay calm. With any luck, rescuers will be able to save you by using a pulley system or something like that. If that doesn’t work, then I hope you’ve lived a good life.

That’s why you bring extras.
johnmann If you take precautions while caving, then it’s highly unlikely that you’ll get stuck. Even if you do, you can normally get out.
Mason Curb but what happens if you do get stuck. You just sit there and die. How do you get out still? Like it’s rock surrounding your body.
