If you read the comics you realise that the crystal version more closer to the original comics version. But, like many including myself we prefer the original anime 90s sailor jupiter.😊
I'm more of a fan of the original. Mainly because it does a better job with characterizing Makoto as a tough girl is stands up to injustice and isn't afraid to fight people. For Crystal's version (which is also the original), while it does show that she's proactive in saving Usagi, it feels kind of hollow since anyone could have done it. Ami or Rei would have done the same thing if you swapped Makoto with either of them. But if you swapped them in the original, while they no doubt would have tried to have defended Usagi/stood up to the hoodlums, they would have done so with different approaches rather then beating them up like Makoto.

I agree. I prefer crystal with a lot of stuff but I enjoy how they introduced makoto in the 90s anime more!

Right? I also prefer Crystal! Just because there are a lot less filler episodes and Chibi-Usa and Rei don't bug me as much in this one.

I prefer 90s animation. The Sailor Scouts look so much better in the 90s style design compared to Crystal.
in season 3 and the movies the art style gets better 😄
