Joe's guitars always sound great, but he is not capable to phrasing, he just throws some random lick in the random order. I think he tries but it does not work. I am actually not capable of listening to him. On the other hand, Josh is excellent, but somehow he is not able to make it commercially. But it is a common knowledge that a commercial success is not about the quality of music.
This was videotaped in front of Bonamassa's amp, with Smith's way on the other side. Also, the audio was not catching the PA. Probably fine farther back or over on Josh's side (but then Bonamassa would have sounded low).
