the 2017 Ford GT is a nice car but I'm not sure I like the shape of it ever since I've had the crew 2 I've grinded the game day and night got loads of $$$ saved up I contemplated on buying the Ford GT but keep telling myself no but I've seen one that was red with the white stripes looks amazing but still unsure

The reason they put the twin turbo v6 ecoboost was to advertise the “ecoboost” thus making customers think any car that has ecoboost unique and quick thus boosting sales... no pun intended lol

No it really wasn’t about any of that… the whole reason they made this car was to race it it GT. What they were looking for is power to weight and that’s why it’s a v6 eco boost. The last thing they thought of was production.

The new ford gt has the v6 ecoboost for two reasons, one is becuse they want to cut some payouts on developing other engine, second is because they were trying to promote the new ecoboost family of envirement friendly engines so they used the new gt as some kind of propaganda
They should've used the engine they used on the 350R.

They wanted to cut payouts? They put the v6 because they made the body of the car before even thinking of a engine. They built this car for only 1 reason. This wasn’t built to be track record breaker. This was built to attack Le Mans. Ford performance said they didn’t think of a engine till after they got everything else perfect for Le Mans. This thing was built on 1 track. That’s why it looks like it does.
It's not about fuel economy (who cares about fuel economy when you get a car like that?) or power; it's all about compactness and how it helps them develop a better chassis, and that Le Mans BOP. The 2005 Ford GT was made for "heritage" and nostalgia, the 2017 car is a machine that wins endurance races.
Of course they could have developed a V8 Ecoboost with a smaller per-cylinder displacement, but that would've been outrageously expensive, and the reliability of the engine over race distances could have possibly suffered too.

I don't mind the EcoBoost engine, it looks literally drop-dead gorgeous and I love it. And how can you not love it?! It's a Ford GT!
edit: I noticed both fixed wings weren't mounted on the active aero spoiler. do either of them still let the spoiler come up or is it deactivated?

I definitely agree with you, a 100hp boost after 12 years, AND a smaller engine? Ford should've been much more ambitious with such a project. Still, I like all models, having grown attached to GT40's since I learned about Ken Miles.
For those of you that are car illiterate, this is the primary inspiration for the Vapid FMJ in GTAO.

You should go to the salt flats for your top speed runs there is much more space to hit the top speed

I've only seen one at the Detroit international auto show. I've seen the 2005 GT in the wild in downtown Detroit one day. I was on my bike, to bad he was going the other way, could have been fun :)
BTW, the reason for the V-6 is because the car was specifically made to win at Le Mans on the anniversary of the beat-down they gave Ferrari, and it did it(1,3,4). They needed that engine to be in the class they wanted to, a nice side bonus was it was lighter and more aerodynamic. The vettes did nothing that year.

The engine sound is the only bad thing about the car. BTW, The ZR1 is faster most likely because the Ford GT has 647 hp and weights 3354 pounds but the ZR1 has 750 hp and weighs 3560 pounds. That's only 206 more pounds. Edit: Hp was 647, not 617 and added some info about weight.
gt has 647hp. It's a difference of 100hp. The Corvette is front engine, and has only one form of aerodynamics.... downforce. The GT can convert between downforce and high speed aero.

Isn't the 6 cylinder smaller therefore you can have better aero dynamics aka the big hole things in the back (flying buttraces or whatever they're called)
it's large displacment the v6 though. they could've done a small displacement v8

The hood options on this car actually annoy me. There is no reason to have an air duct in the center like that; it'll just make the car less aerodynamic. I like visual customization, but I like it to make at least a stupid sort of sense rather than simply destroying the aerodynamics on a six-figure supercar.
All these people complaining it has a V6 would drive this car if they had it IRL, especially the dude talking in the video.

Tired of this engine debates... The Ecoboost V6 is a great engine for this car! Also sounds great in real life! But car sounds in The Crew 2 are not that good as in FH3! ;-)

I do a hyper car race in Las vegas called la trells car part 1. It takes between 8-9 min and pays out 85k on hard. U can get an 8 minute time with a stock agera r.

Also the corvette is only faster due to its horsepower and torque the Ford GT is still over all a better track car which it’s lighter weight and far superior handling due to its suspension and engine placement

Maybe it's a V6 because a V8 won't fit in that small place. And Ford wanted the special aero dynamics and when they made it there wasn't anny need for a V8. That's my opinion about it👍

This is why ford, is only good at making reliable pick-up trucks. Not supercars or sedans. The mustang is ok however.
