- we went to a local park for opening day, rock run recreation in patton pa opened this weekend so we went for a leisure ride just to support the local park and enjoy a ride with some friends. it went from great to bad to worse very quick. first our buddy steve rolls his rzr on a hill climb then im driving down a green trail and my machine locks up and runs we off the road, turns out my a arm broke in half and my tire folded in. we made a trail fix and got out of there before the weather took a turn for the worse.

Might try setting your GPS to North Up navigation instead of course up. Much easier to stay oriented.

Hey crew. Question on your computer maps. Is there a way to purchase just the trail systems that go with Backcountry Nav from you? I already have a tablet with Backcountry loaded. I enjoyed using the tablet last year at Hatfield but just have a hard time getting trail maps for other northeast trail areas. I don't really social media which contributes to that problem. Ya, having a restroom down there makes it nice, sometimes you just gotta do whatever you can to get out of the woods. Beats paying for a recovery though lol.

Tough break there, glad everyone is ok though. I don’t mind riding up rock run, they keep it pretty maintained for the most part. Do you guys ride mountain ridge at all? Best part is it’s all 1 way trails. Which is fantastic. Keep up the good content, really enjoy it.
Yes, we’ve ridden there a few times. We have a couple videos on TH-cam from awhile back when we were there.
@@TheCanAmCrew I’ve been going there for many many years now, apparently they are working on building a short course sxs track. The new owners are supposedly making big changes, (so they say). Hopefully they do build a track, would love to rip a short course and there are none really close.

@@TheCanAmCrew at the end of last year I was talking with the manager and he was telling me about all their plans. It’s very exciting to hear they are expanding because it’s probably my favorite place to ride. It’s also only about 45 minutes from me (Greensburg,Pa). There really isint much to ride around me. Mountain ridge, rock run, mines and meadows and BFR. Most private property is posted so it’s very disappointing. You have any other suggestions to ride in the area?
@@bill887 mines and meadows, Indian creek valley, tri county, snow shoe, bloody skillet, whiskey springs and Allegheny national forest are ones we have ridden aside from the ones you mentioned.
Love watching your improvised trail fixes but it leads to another question, at what point do you think you'll be looking at getting new machines or engines? Your definitely way up there in miles with how hard you guys ride. Like do you have a certain mileage where you plan to replace the eengine or do you just plan to ride it until it fails? Either way great video.
The a arms were the last stock weak park on our machines so we should be good for a while haha. It is not uncommon to see the 900rotax motor have upwards or 20-40,000 miles on it. I know several people with over 20k miles. I personally don’t want to upgrade for 2 reasons, the first being we have put a lot of money in to these to get them where we want and don’t want to start over. 2nd being I don’t want a monthly payment… that takes away from being able to take as many trips as we do. Especially having 2 machines to fix and maintain. If that all makes sense haha.
