s6 edge owner here .. this phone its still great but battery life suck a little bit .. 2 h 30 minutes screen on time .. i can do my work and this can handle a normal day usage.. , my s6 edge its not laggy at all it work well for 4 years flagship , so you can buy it if your budget sucks.. this is very cheap and worth at all
Its probably one of my favorite Samsung devices. I love the look. Its thin and fast. Great camera, 16 megapixels! Just no storage expansion. But I have had several and I always loved them. It has a beautiful screen and design. even today. I do like the home button. It feels so solid. I always try to tell people, you have to optimize and tweak the hell out of your android device to get the Ferrari fast experience. That's why I use android is for the customization options that apple does not have, Learn the tweaks and tricks and you will have an amazing Samsung device regardless of age. My s6 edge plus is lightning fast, I also recommend to use NOVA launcher. The best one out there IMO. There are ways to optimize the battery too. Mine always had 7.0 nougat which is my favorite OS anyways. Not much more in Oreo and pie anyways

I loved this phone, owned it the week it released and used it without a case for 5 years, only upgraded this week from that exact same phone. Still think the design is awesome and it was the android phone that finally tore me away from apple. Just looks fantastic. Battery life wasn't too bad when compared with the stock s6, and with some tweaks I was getting 5 or 6 hours SOT back in the day. Great device and now my satnav.
I was an edge plus owner and I feel the same as you about this phone, the lack of os updates killed this amazing s6, after this phone I switched to an iPhone just because of system updates and system stability.
I have this phone. Got it when it first came out and loved it. Never let me down, until I upgraded to the Note 8. The camera is the best and the volume is pretty good.
Ive had an s6 edge plus for around 3 years, and before that my mum had it for a couple years too! I still have it as a backup phone to this day and the only problem with it is its a bit slow sometimes and the battery drains fast, other than that, its a great phone considering its been used for at least 6 or 7 years 😅
I love my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, it looks amazing and it is so pleasing to use. As mentioned below the battery life is useless, mine is always on charge. Have to take a power bank everywhere with me. Would probably not be an issue if I got one of those wireless charging phone cases.
I own this phone and it still gives me all I need from the phone. Still looks nice, has very good cameras and can do anything that do newer phones. Most of smartphone users use their phones for calling, messaging, photo and video recording, playing games, watching videos...I can do all of this and more. I am about to upgrade to s9 plus but I am still satisfied by this phone.
Owned mine for about 4 years. Still runs great to this date and the battery lasts for 1.5 day. Game is above average aswell on mine though.Overall i consider it as one of the most sexiest looking device!
Always charged and kept the battery to the maximum and it does resonably good. Using it for my Mavic Air drone which gives a nice large screen and the battery does not drain fast in that combo. Still feels and looks very Premium and i think I even thinks it's more premium looping than my Samsung Galaxy S8 which is als very beautiful. Even while my 6's screen broke when on it's display doesn't show anything. Really great premium. Best looking phone I've ever bought, for it's time and overall.
I was using this as a temporary phone last year and handled great. Yeah its "old" and still had a home button but that phone had such a unique look to it that still looks nice, I gave it to my 6 year old son whos been using it ever since, its taken quite a few beatings and still hasn't broken! Plus its packed full of games and still has no lag or freezing either which is impressive for such an old phone
Had this phone for 3 years. Great phone. Beautiful body, display, great camera. I cant say 1 bad thing about this phone. Only the battery was a bit degraded after 3 years.
Still my daily, great phone, the only downside is the battery, other than that, awesome design and the performance still holds up. I'll upgrade to something with the Snapdragon 855 when it comes out.

I've had this phone for 4 years...had Samsung replace the battery for 50 bucks. Still my daily phone. Saving 500 bucks a year keeping this, compared to buying a new phone every two years
I have this phone and it's completely beaten up and scratched but still works perfectly, back's completely ruined and yet not even a hint of degradation. Biggest problem is the battery.
I have this one , I'm actually on it right now. It's actually a great phone , i just have a couple of problems with it. My battery is trash . I have a fast charging charger, it takes like an hour to fully charge but the battery is dead in less than 5 hours. It something crashes a lot and freezes . I have a problem with the headphone jack where my music would get higher and lower, and i noticed this with all of my headphones so its definitely the phone. My mom used to have this phone before upgrading to a s9. It kept freezing on her also which is why she returned it. Pretty phone in general but works great for the first few months . Ive only had it for less than a year. And i hate that they wont give us the latest update. The new emojis and stuff .Instead of wasting my time on Samsung's products again , i just made the decision to get an iphone 7. I do recommend this phone though.

I currently have S6 Edge Plus and...I am dissaponted. When I buyed this phone(used bacause no new phones on the current romanian market),I thought that for a 500 euro smartphone,I would get a great camera,great performance and a great battery life. About 2/3 of those things whore true,like the camera was pretty good,the performance was very good for an average gamer,but the battery life was not great,for example I had in the past a Samsung J7 2017 with very good battery life considering S6 Edge Plus's battery life(it lasted about 7h for gaming and 12 for casual use like watching TH-cam videos). That is not based on the phone, it's based on how much the previous user used the phone and how they used it and how they charged it. It would be cool if you could find that out before you buy it.
I just bought the Samsung Galaxy s6 edge+ and I love it. I was coming f eye on a TCL Alcatel phone and it was horrible. But I'm a die hard Samsung fan. My next upgrade will probably be the Samsung Galaxy note 8
Still going steady with S6 Edge+ longest lasting device I've had ever. By the time I upgraded from note 3 it felt like a toy and it was beat to hell. It's become a bit of a challenge now to see how long I can keep my S6 Edge+ alive. A good tip is to install nova settings and change the app icons to circular google pixel style icons. Makes it look and feel like a 2019 device. Think I'll be upgrading soon as my home button has been a bit temprimental recently. I've installed a virtual home button in the mean time 😂
Try this guy's. I get a whole day use maybe charge once before evening if heavy use. Dark theme, turn off sync, turn down brightness under 50%(turn off auto brightness), portrait mode on, go to "about phone" and click on "build number" 5 times for developer mode, go to developer mode and then off all animations, make sure phone is up to date, download Gboard and use dark theme on keyboard and use borderless, will help typing(unrelated), go to apps and disable and delete unused apps, download greenify to keep apps from opening, download Kaspersky battery life to help maintain the battery life and closes apps as well, turn on power saving mode if you prefer longer battery life, and last thing is to make sure useless stuff is off like always on display,nfc,location,and sync,performance mode, Bluetooth,and wifi. Afterwards, kill your phone and constantly turn it on until the phone does not come on at all to tell you low battery. Then fully charge it off at 100% and wait 10 minutes for a full charge. Turn on and download a good battery repair app, for the one I used is off Google through apk plz message me if you wanna know I'll explain how to get it. Last thing download advanced battery calibrator and follow the steps. Turn back on when 100% again and delete those apps you don't need anymore. You will be very happy with the results. I was thinking about getting this phone to use as a universal Smart TV/ Audio / Video player Remote, web browser, Tv guide, online shopping device, free or paid home phone, security monitor, ... Because he forgets to mention the S6+ has a IR Blaster on it. With the PEEL app you can control TV's, Sound Bars, Audio Receivers, Cable & satellite Boxes, DVD players etc. The battery is not really a big issue because you can still upgrade to a newer & bigger battery if you learn how to take the phone apart. But thinking ahead dealing with HiFi audio, having no Micro SD card slot is a deal breaker... Unless you just want regular Mp3 or AAC music. But still, a true audiophile might have over 500 GB worth of music and 64GB of storage just not enough. But the S6+ has no DAC chip in it to play Hi-Fi hi resolution audio anyway. The other deal breaker is like he said... Even Rooted you don't have many custom ROM's to choose from. In my opinion... There are 2 best phone old phones to choose.... 1. LG V20: IR Blaster, *DAC Chip, 64GB, SD card slot, removable battery, many custom ROM's. 2: Samsung Galaxy Note 4: IR Blaster, 32GB, SD card slot, removable battery,*stylus pen, many custom ROM's. If u don't care for high-resolution audio go with the Samsung note 4 because the S-Pen come in handy when paying a bill or buying something online that requires a signature. However if you got the money and familiar with Rooting.... Get the Huawei Mate 20 pro or Huawei P30 pro
This phone is the only High-end phone I own and LOS 17.1 works on the s6 edge + now any the sm-928C model has a unlocked bootloader and support for LOS 17.1
It is worth it you know why? If you have an s7 with the exynos processor and root it. You can actually port one ui when it comes out for the note FE because they can get the one ui from the note FE and make a port for the s7 or s7 edge that has the exynos since they both have the same Exynos processor and same amount of RAM. Can't wait to port one ui on my s7 edge!!
I'm still using this phone, just modernized the UI a bit. Everything except battery is still adequate, just needs a battery case to make it last a full day.
s6 edge+ owner here boiiiii, this phone is great but battery life sucks, i recommend turning on power saver, camera is GREAT but the low light is BAD, Gaming is great, Fortnite is not supported, Over all I loved the phone!
As much as i love the design and display, is not worth it since theres a bunch of s7 deals that cost the same and has a way better battery, has sd card slot and water resistantance

I still use the phone today and been my primary phone for about 5 years. Battery may seem weak but I always carry a portable charger when traveling.

My main phone using Now...in 2019 April☺
I had this phone, now I have s7e and I think I will buy s6e+ because I love it.
Love it but in 3 years of constant use... Battery life is becoming less... Dont know how to get a new battery???

Try this guy's. I get a whole day use maybe charge once before evening if heavy use. Dark theme, turn off sync, turn down brightness under 50%(turn off auto brightness), portrait mode on, go to "about phone" and click on "build number" 5 times for developer mode, go to developer mode and then off all animations, make sure phone is up to date, download Gboard and use dark theme on keyboard and use borderless, will help typing(unrelated), go to apps and disable and delete unused apps, download greenify to keep apps from opening, download Kaspersky battery life to help maintain the battery life and closes apps as well, turn on power saving mode if you prefer longer battery life, and last thing is to make sure useless stuff is off like always on display,nfc,location,and sync,performance mode, Bluetooth,and wifi. Afterwards, kill your phone and constantly turn it on until the phone does not come on at all to tell you low battery. Then fully charge it off at 100% and wait 10 minutes for a full charge. Turn on and download a good battery repair app, for the one I used is off Google through apk plz message me if you wanna know I'll explain how to get it. Last thing download advanced battery calibrator and follow the steps. Turn back on when 100% again and delete those apps you don't need anymore. You will be very happy with the results. I was thinking about getting this phone to use as a universal Smart TV/ Audio / Video player Remote, web browser, Tv guide, online shopping device, free or paid home phone, security monitor, ... Because he forgets to mention the S6+ has a IR Blaster on it. With the PEEL app you can control TV's, Sound Bars, Audio Receivers, Cable & satellite Boxes, DVD players etc.
The battery is not really a big issue because you can still upgrade to a newer & bigger battery if you learn how to take the phone apart. But thinking ahead dealing with HiFi audio, having no Micro SD card slot is a deal breaker... Unless you just want regular Mp3 or AAC music. But still, a true audiophile might have over 500 GB worth of music and 64GB of storage just not enough. But the S6+ has no DAC chip in it to play Hi-Fi hi resolution audio anyway.
The other deal breaker is like he said... Even Rooted you don't have many custom ROM's to choose from.
In my opinion... There are 2 best phone old phones to choose....
1. LG V20: IR Blaster, *DAC Chip, 64GB, SD card slot, removable battery, many custom ROM's.
2: Samsung Galaxy Note 4: IR Blaster, 32GB, SD card slot, removable battery,*stylus pen, many custom ROM's.
If u don't care for high-resolution audio go with the Samsung note 4 because the S-Pen come in handy when paying a bill or buying something online that requires a signature.
However if you got the money and familiar with Rooting.... Get the Huawei Mate 20 pro or Huawei P30 pro

This phone is the only High-end phone I own and LOS 17.1 works on the s6 edge + now any the sm-928C model has a unlocked bootloader and support for LOS 17.1
By far the most beautiful phone ever made.
When you say not supported by software do you mean like there's no more updates for it?
I am changing from iPhone to Samsung and I might get this but not sure if true that battery is so bad like what comment saying

S7 edge is trash s7 is good
It is worth it you know why? If you have an s7 with the exynos processor and root it. You can actually port one ui when it comes out for the note FE because they can get the one ui from the note FE and make a port for the s7 or s7 edge that has the exynos since they both have the same Exynos processor and same amount of RAM. Can't wait to port one ui on my s7 edge!!
I'm still using my s7e. It's still worth it.
I'm still using this phone, just modernized the UI a bit. Everything except battery is still adequate, just needs a battery case to make it last a full day.
How did you changed the ui?

s6 edge+ owner here boiiiii, this phone is great but battery life sucks, i recommend turning on power saver, camera is GREAT but the low light is BAD, Gaming is great, Fortnite is not supported, Over all I loved the phone!

As much as i love the design and display, is not worth it since theres a bunch of s7 deals that cost the same and has a way better battery, has sd card slot and water resistantance
I had an Galaxy s6 before but it had problems it won't connect to the Wi-Fi for some reason so I selled it
