- In this video I´m restoring an Omega Seamaster Chronograph from 1960s / 1970s with legendary Omega 861 movement.
I have carefully refurbished the rare vintage Chronograph so that as many original parts as possible have been preserved.
In this video you can see:
Refurbishment of the hole watch case
Sun cut grinding pattern / Radial grinding pattern - how it´s been made
Watchcase lapping on a watchmakers lapping machine
Acrylic watch crystal scratch removing
Polishing and brushing of a watch case
Hand removing and replacement of new hands
Leather strap assembling

Incredible results you can achieve. Never ever seen anyone coming near to your skills.
Thank you so much 😊
Unbelievable. Such a wonderful job. I wish I lived near you so I could beg you to refinish my 20-year-old sub.
Thank you 🙏
stunning job on this one, love this lappingtable, first time I see one,.....sehr cool gemacht....👍
Thank you! 😊
Very impressive, you show fantastic skills. Please keep your videos coming!
Thank you 🙏
Thank you for sharing, I follow many channels like yours, to me you are the best in case refinishing!
Thank you! ☺️
I'm enjoying your channel since your focus is on cases and finishing more than movements. There are plenty of movement videos but few on cases. Thank you for this.
Thank you Robert, I‘m happy you enjoyed watching! Cheers Daniel
I really enjoye your videos, thank you for sharing. I am an amateur watch maker and I learn a lot by just watching your videos. I was wondering what grid sanding paper you are using on the grinding table?
Hi Jacob, thank you for your nice feedback. I‘m using various sorts of sanding paper. From 120-15000. Cheers Daniel
I’m curious, did you make that flat lapping machine? I’ve been scouring the internet for such a device and I can only find gemology-focused lapping machines.
Too much focused on case grinding, not in other parts, average job, not good at all
