Of all the album In Flames put out throughout the years, Whoracle is their absolute best. I really like the cover art, all the songs is so majestically done. There is no better green album than this.
And Jester Script Transfigured is what define this album. The lyrics is so astral-otherworld being (My fave line is 'we only see the outline of the beginning, and this core the slow moving raptor' ) the guitar work is absolutely stunning (just hear it at 2:18) . It makes me wonder why this song is so under rated, even to the old fans.

This is an absolute beautiful work of art. The best song that this band has ever put out.
You know, I'd say a lot of their old stuff qualifies as "the best song they've ever put out", but I keep coming around to this song. Its beautiful, and its powerful, and its sweeping. "We've only seen outlines of the beginning, and this core, the slowly moving raptor, will make the very notion of Hell seem celestial in comparison" is also a deeply haunting and prophetic worldview for humankind's progress.

@@GEKGanon maybe that's because Anders is perfect in this one. Truly, it's not the most complicated song of theirs in terms of instrumentals or progression, but those vocals, man. Climaxes timed just right.

This is perfect. Why isn't it their hit like bullet ride or other songs they play live?
Even in their "prime" this would be a hard song to pull off live as beautifully as it is in the studio recording. They did play it live (there is a version on youtube, or at least was at one point in time). Honestly it would be hard for any band to pull it off, there are so many layers to this song that it just wouldn't sound the same. BUT I agree, it is perfect. This is my favorite In Flames song hands down.
