JD Hillberry This piece of art is amazing! Can I ask you a question, Is Grumbacher(Matte, Gloss) fixative final for oil and acrylic suitable for graphite portrait and why? One other question will the frisket damage the paper tooth like if I wanted to draw a face or a much bigger shape but I need to darken the surrounding first, If I cut out the frisket on a shape of a face or bigger and stick it to the paper is it ok or will it affect the details of the face afterwards? Will the frisket make the paper yellowish? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks a lot
If never used that fixative so I can't help you there. I use krylon workable fixative. Make sure you use low tac brisket and only press it down on the edges to avoid damaging the paper. It shouldn't yellow the paper unless you leave it on for months. Frisket will create very sharp edges so I wouldn't recommend it for a face. It also alters the texture but you can still draw detail. You will always be able to see the sharp edges though.
I love your's drawing sir
I am drawing teacher
Very cool. I learned a lot. I have your "Drawing Realistic Textures in Pencil" book and find that very helpful as well.

@@JDHillberry1 Thank you very much
This is an artist, not like the infantile scribble you see these days with contemporary abstract rubbish.
Thanks Betty!
