I've never heard Madonna sing any better; this is tremendous. And the response from the crowd in Buenos Aires!! Look into their faces--I've never seen anything like it. This, my friends, is why this woman is a world famous, world wide superstar. Whatever she does for the rest of her life, she had this moment, and so many moments like this, that very, very few performers can even hope to reach. Brava, Madonna. Thank you for giving us joy. I'm listening to this in August 2022, by the way. She will endure. :)

I saw Evita on stage at least 6 times, each time I grew to love the music of this show more and more. When the movie came out I was floored. I knew Madonna had put alot of time into voice coaching for this part and then there were the people who said that her casting was some kind of gimmick. This is a role that fits her personality and voice I think more than any other. Her voice as she gets older is taking on a wonderful depth and range of expression. She is an enormously underrated artist, due to her pop music background, but she is and always has been a formidable presence in music and I hope will continue to be.

I never took her seriously until she did "Evita" and I recognized a true artist, rather than a singing cartoon. When "Ray of Light" was released I finally bought an Madonna album and was super impressed.
I loved her first album a lot, but didn't care for her "Like a Virgin" "Get into the Groove" phase AT THE TIME. "Like a Prayer" was when I really got into her music, and now I love all of it. But yes, Evita and Ray of Light are 2 supurb works of art.
M was never a "singing cartoon". All her live performances, starting with The Virgin Tour had always a message. Trough her shows, among others, she speaks about women empowerment, freedom of expression, love, human rights, prejudice.
She demonstrates to have a great voice when she's not dancing. She doesn't use pre-recorded vocals while dancing, unlike everyone else hence why it's difficult for her to maintain a flawless intonation while dancing AND she also dances for three consecutive hours every show. Everyone else pre-record their vocals hence why they sound more polished and with no imperfections. It is also to be noticed that Madonna is an actual dancer and her dancing isn't made of simplistic leg/arm moves which don't necessarily damage the vocal delivery. Plus, she seems to be way more nervous and less confident when she makes TV performances. Probably because people always gave her such a hard time for her vocals. At the other hand she's way more confident in her own shows in front of her fans/audience, hence why she lets herself go and shows off her proficiency singing wise.
This is a stunning performance. I bought Evita dvd years ago and watched over and over. I was transfixed by the completely natural persona by Madonna. Its about the best acting perfprmance ive ever seen combined with the magical music. Her voice to be heard here is so expressive and sonorous......oh pure love and art. Great lineup to it works so well. I also bought one of her music dvds and think she is fantastic. Id love to go hear her perform in Argentina

She demonstrates to have a great voice when she's not dancing. She doesn't use pre-recorded vocals while dancing, unlike everyone else hence why it's difficult for her to maintain a flawless intonation while dancing AND she also dances for three consecutive hours every show. Everyone else pre-record their vocals hence why they sound more polished and with no imperfections. It is also to be noticed that Madonna is an actual dancer and her dancing isn't made of simplistic leg/arm moves which don't necessarily damage the vocal delivery. Plus, she seems to be way more nervous and less confident when she makes TV performances. Probably because people always gave her such a hard time for her vocals. At the other hand she's way more confident in her own shows in front of her fans/audience, hence why she lets herself go and shows off her proficiency singing wise.

This is a stunning performance. I bought Evita dvd years ago and watched over and over. I was transfixed by the completely natural persona by Madonna. Its about the best acting perfprmance ive ever seen combined with the magical music. Her voice to be heard here is so expressive and sonorous......oh pure love and art. Great lineup to it works so well. I also bought one of her music dvds and think she is fantastic. Id love to go hear her perform in Argentina
