In this Silver League Zerg vs Protoss the Protoss and the Zerg go for exact opposite strategies. Where as the Zerg decides to expand literally everywhere, the Protoss is sitting and builds up the Golden Armada.

Two conclusions can be drawn out of this video:
1) Zerg gently hints that he wants more expantions for Starcraft.
2) Toss imba, you need 7 bases to kill 2 base Toss
Sverr actually protoss is not imba... i have more of a challenge fighting terran than protoss
Sverr wrong conclusion. Actually it's because they both play like bronze league. The Zerg player didn't make enough anti-air to fight those fleets or to respond quickly after the first engagement.
well, i think toss is more of a qulity over quantity kind of faction
lol u must be kidding, a regular zerg player only with the main plus 2 gold bases could have spammed lings and roaches/ravagers and it would have been imposible to stop

1 queen at each base, max gas at 4 bases and just spam hydras, win game.
yeah hydras with some ultralisk or roaches to tank and nothing that protos could have done

Not that the players, in this game, are particulary good, but one has to agree Lowko narrative skills are madz !

when he built the cannons around the stargates I nearly pissed myself haha xD the funniest part is that the mutas did actually come lmao.
This was painful to watch, not lowko casting, but the game, so many mistakes...

i love that you cast this seriously and even offer things that would improve their skill.
With the comments it's still a great game to watch if you want to learn something about the mechanics and strategies. Lowko did well in giving explanations and advise.
Honestly this was a match were both players deserved to lose. Zerg for using his army so inefficently and Protoss for never expanding his economy.

7000 zerg unused minerals :( 280 zerglings could have flooded the whole map
Ahahah ikr, I would've loved to see the protoss' reaction to that. But the zerg wouldn't have hidden them really well.
And all 280 zerglings would have died to one Oracle. That's the kind of game this was.

it was so painful to watch that zerg player keep building mutalisks. How do people not see "oh, those units get shredded against him. i better not build man more"
or u have to amass them which is the entire point of mutalisks. . . but honestly upgrades are needed and they are very niche

Early game: Zerg expanded greedily, but Toss didn't scout. Zerg spend resources and keep that bank empty. I have high hope for it to be a roll.
Then the Zerg player was like "Okay, i got to this point but forgot to plan for the rest. Let just build random stuff and bash the units against the wall bit by bit until we outlast them.
If he would just spend the surplus of minerals in the early game for a big Lings harass, with the main base constantly making Lings while the gold bases droning up, it would literally be over with a steam roll.

Well both seemes rather dumb.The Zerg player for not useing his armies and economy properly and the Protos player for basicly killing the first base and not bothering to kill all the bases from that point on in the game.
honestly the protoss is also lacking a brain
for he did not bother ever expanding EVER
even when he had like no resources
nor did he make any ground army at all

I don't even play SC2 (yet) and even I've learned (by watching Lowko's videos) that you're supposed to spend massive resources on massive armies. If I was the Zerg going for a gold rush there would have been a sea of Zerg sweeping across the map by minute 5 or 6.

At 2:56 was my favorite part of the game, Lowko's commentary are awesome, thanks for being so creative and funny
If that Zerg player could learn even the most basic of army management and building the proper counter units though, he could already get SO MUCH better in a short time, as his early-to-mid game macro seems solid for a player of his league :)
I would have loved to see the zerg just make a bunch of macro hatcheries and flood the protoss base with lings and banes. It would have been an endless, glorious, sexy flood. :D

I saw this taktic on Futurama once...he tried to feed the Enemy Units so many of his own, that their Kill-Counter runs full so they stop fighting...well played!

I'm not a SC2 player but this was so funny to watch!! that 6 workers vs. 88 workers on the bottom bar there, then the strange engagements where people don't attack others right away... omg!

that was painful, even as a Zerg. no zergling speed for the entire game, losing a whole army against a Stargate and a few cannons lol the trickle micro! there's a win that feels like watching a show painful loss lol great cast though lowko
These low league games are amazing. Its like watching 2 mice with knives strapped to them fight.
Nobody knows what the fuck is happening, the mice dont have any idea what they are supposed to do and you cant tell who is gonna win until the absolute end.
That was the most zerg vs protoss match youll ever see, zerg being inefficient but overwhelming and protoss being quality over quantity but greedy.

Classic example of a golden rule in Starcraft 2: More shit counters less shit. Our zerg here seems to understand that concept quite well
About the entire game I was sitting there like "TAKE MORE BASES" towards the Protoss player
After seeing so many of these regular player casts...I can only imagine the facepalming Lowko would do at my plays...I might actually stun him into silence

Executors like "Tassadar" for some reason disobey their orders and do as THEY will, not the will of the conclave! In time executors will listen to our counsel and do what they are told, or Be delt with as is stated by the khalas law

I really liked sky upgrades for both players. 1-1 for toss and 0-0 for zerg. Actualy zerg after some time made some sky upgrades... after he abandoned sky army and started doing mass hydra... genius
No kjubaran wasn't trickling his units at yoshi. Yoshi was just perfectly executing a strategy called divide and conquer
This game offers such a great learning opportunity.
About going after the spawning pool. I don't know if true at the time of this reply, but currently zerg's spore crawler requires a spawning pool to be built. So no pool = no new static anti-air. (or zerglings when he realizes there's only 3 zealots)

Big promatches should have arcade rounds sometimes. for example: 100 supply max or all minerals are gold

I'm a silver leaguer, and that was painful to watch.

Sometimes seeing these silver matches and even the gold makes me wonder why I don't try my hand at the ladder...
You know that you're in for a treat when you see a silver player building phoenixes. They are so micro and apm intensive that i don't really like to play with them at platin level. Ofc i'm able to, but i don't like it that much. :D
I don't want to bash them, it's more a general advice to build less micro/apm intensive units in lower leagues.
at 7 expansions, ling speed and crack and just moving lings by the thousand inside the protoss base would just win. I think silver zerg had the delusion of JulyZerging hahahaha

So many mistakes. Sky toss is powerful because it can go around the army and snipe bases. Against mass hydras, no. Good thing Z kept making mutas until he was like, "screw it, hydras."

They are each other's opposite! :DD Another is not expanding and the other is expanding like a hell. Then another is using it's army wisely and the other is just throwing it's army to charity! :D
7th hatchery on the 6:00 mark. You know, fairly standard zerg opener.
Even though the micro is not at the right level, the Zerg player has been more tactical than the Protoss player
and never gave up. He took a quick control of the map and resources without ever giving the Protoss a break, so he let him die himself. The Protoss was too busy chasing opposing bases. Unfortunately for him, he chose an aerial build and never had enough time to manage a correct transition. Splitting his army would be worst.
On the other side, the Zerg could continue to overwhelm its opponent in repeated waves as soon as it left its base, and slowly developped other units.
I personally like this kind of games. It's "average" but I'm sure the Zerg player was really happy with his victory.
