Man admits to using steroids to enhance and back in the day was actually legal as long as it was medically prescribed, but if you look at his recent posts, he said you can pump up with steroids as much as you want, but it won't help unless you put in the hard work. Notice the lack of 'Distended Abdomen', shows he never over indulged, unlike the performers today where the liver is so swollen because of abuse of synthetic drugs & GH it stands out like a tri-term pregnancy. Lee Priest and Jay Cutler were the last real Bodybuilders IMO.

That WORLD GYM was recently demolished. It’s too bad so much history was there. Arnold even had his own parking spot with his name on it. Franco Columbu can be seen in a video training for the 1981 Olympia on its famous outdoor workout area.

@@sooparticular It was at the corner of Main and Abbott Kinney in Venice. The good news is that a brand new 40,000 square foot GOLDS GYM is going to be built just a couple miles up the road in SANTA MONICA.
World Gym didn't move there until 1987. Must have been the previous location

Great physiques, but I would considering naming some of the competitors from the 70/80s in terms of aesthetics and symmetry first. Danny padilla, Brian Buchanan, Gary strydom and the list goes..
@@georgejones7532 Gary Strydom was one of my favorites of all time, so thick and defined, and loved Lee Labrada who is a smaller symmetrical version of Lee Priest. I loved the 80's and early 90's IFBB, I also did like Rich Gaspari, but he never had enough muscle depth and honestly never looked truly ripped.

Hardly no one points out this: Lee's exceptional form when executing exercises. Lee went heavy but always dominated the weight.
I miss when gyms didn’t blast out awful music. My headphones battery ran flat at the gym last week and my ears were subjected to an hour of torture. Clanging and banging are all the sounds needed.

Definitely. It's criminal how the IFBB judges always associate mass with height. I understand BMI, but seriously, because he was short, Aussie and not American, outspoken, never took crap and was basically a human HUMMER, the man deserved more Pro wins over his career than he won. Never a distended abdomen, never too soft. The man was the perfectly baked specimen who peaked like a souffle 9 times out of ten. Love you Lee. Aussie Legend.

I am going to try his variation of the dumbbell lunges. His way you don’t have to balance as much bouncing back into a starting position. Looks much easier to control and not feel like you’re going to fall over lol
