Well explained. Our beagle started having problems before my exhusband and I started our divorce. She started destroying the house. She had got in the trash and had it all over the house. We put up a half sheet of plywood cross the doorway so she couldn't do it again while be was out. She jumped over the four and a half foot high piece and did it again. And one other time we had just gotten groseries. And we stopped for gas on the way home. When we went into pay she got into the bread and ate half the loaf (if course it was the middle half) in just a few minutes. Mom said she was picking up on the tension between me and him, but you explained it really well that it makes a lot of since now. Wish I knew this back then. Cause her angst didn't help with what was going at the time and it probably just made all of us (dog included) even more worse.
Good video, glad to know other people think like me. this was good info, stepping up to make the dog happy so the transititon is not so heart breaking♥️
Same question too. We've been sharing dog custody, we have both dogs (2, 4.5) week about more or less. I will be transferring to another city and shared won't be an option and he's already said which dog he wants to keep (which, if they have to be separated I'd keep either of my babies) - but I also wonder am I doing the right thing?
Do you have any content or advice with helping 1 of your children grief over a recent loss of a dog (within the past year)? Thank you for all of your content.
I thought it was a respect issue when I noticed my boyfriend's dog didn't mind me as well or as immediately as him. He didn't trust me as much either. You are so right Dog is a 1-person love. I loved that dog more than he loved me for sure. We broke up I missed the dog more 😆 than the guy.
I'm dealing with this problem, thank you for make it easier to understand the dog needs
Really thoughtful advice Joel! Your empathy for both the dog and the owner is what sets you apart from other trainers in my opinion!
Great advice and so true. Thank you so much!!!
Such great advice. I really appreciate all your videos. They have made a difference in me and thus my male GSD.
I actually spend more time with my dog and we have bonded. You have taken a ton of guilt out of my heart.

I would like permission to post this on other social media sites?
I have never seen a better more concise explaination 🙏
What about when 2 dogs are separated too during the divorce?
I have the same question
