Four wheel drive is worthless except for snow and ice weather.
Distance Shooter "Four wheel drive is worthless except for snow and ice weather." when you have 1000+ hp AWD makes a big difference putting that power down. That said, they should of included a way to hit a button or setting to make it RWD when you want to have some fun. Most of these exotic AWD drive cars can control the power to each tire separately so it probably wouldn't take much to make it a reality especially the cost of a Bugatti. A simple electronic differential locker that disconnects the front power train would work. Probably would have to be stopped but that's a lot better then not being able to do it.

@Dan Smith You have to have a resistance to use power, if there is no resistance, there is no power. For the power distribution(and because when you turn the front wheels travel less distance than rear wheels so if you had no diff, either rear wheels would slip or the driveshaft would break), there is a central differential. Off course it has to be some kind of LSD because if you just disconnected the front axle from it, the car would not move at all. I am assuming that the figure 70/30 is in ideal conditions when no axle/wheel is slipping. The engine has those 1000 HP to the crank at all times(providing you run it at peak revs), the only way to reduce it would be to limit the intake/exhaust pressure or fuel flow by the ECU.
@Dan Smith What heat loss? Where does the heat go? No, it does not work this way. The heat would have melted the diff after driving 1 mile(300hp is roughly 225kW, compare it to a room heater or electric stove that eat only 1-2kW. Not speaking about the fact that if you just disconnect the front wheels, the driveshaft comming from the center diff to the front diff still spins if you press the gas pedal. So you press the gas pedal, suddenly 700hp goes to the back and 300hp goes into spinning the front driveshaft that has no connection to anywhere, hence has no friction to overcome and starts spinning like crazy, reaching tens of thousands revolutions per second, speeds it can not handle and is not properly balanced for, starts wiggling around and then flies off damaging everything around. Or making the center diff explode(because it also has to spin this fast).

i know they said they were going to remove the front diff, but they only showed them talking out the driveshafts. If they left the diff in I don't think the system would know any different, even thought its still trying to send drive to the front

It sort of throws mud in the face of the image that these cars are so sophisticated that they can't be touched by anyone other than a factory trained technician. What is Jesse's background to be so confident in playing around with these cars? I guess it does all come down to the fact that these things were created and designed by people and therefore can be modified by people. Its just a case of having a crack and having the money to back you up............................... but still things can go expensively wrong?
