Hi, I did have this running in our bathroom until very recently, so you can see it in place in the video where I replace it with the Wemo dimmer - th-cam.com/video/0tlxvTFs40Q/w-d-xo.html
Hi, it’s been a while since I set this up, but I think you have to initially set it up as a double rocker, but then once you replace the double for the single rocker, only the first two buttons within the Hue app become active, even if the UI still displays four.
Hi, all four buttons are exposed to HomeKit, but you would have to use the two individual rocker switches (as seen in the video), not the single rocker I ended up using.
@@homekitnews thanks for the response! I like the look of the single rocker better but I really would like to control 3 of my scenes in Homekit. Hmmm 🤔 thats a toughie!
@@homekitnews UPDATE: I received my switch and at first I thought of using the double rocker version. Buuuut…. My switch box is kind of old and placing the plastic plate over it posed a difficulty when pressing the buttons. The plate didn’t sit flush against the wall. Sometimes I ended up displacing it a little after pressing buttons so close to the edge with the ensuing frustration you can imagine. But I didn’t give up and gave the single rocker a try. It turned out to function better because the pressing occurs in the middle of the rocker, instead of near the edge, which is where the pressing got complicated for me. I’ve been using it for two days only. I’ll post my longtime impressions later on!
Feedback: I'd really like to have heard (with no music) what the click of the switch sounds like. Is it loud stiff click? a soft silent smooshy click? etc.
Clearly it works with HomeKit, as shown on the video. You need the Hue Bridge for it to work though. As regards Alexa, this is a HomeKit channel, so I have no idea if it works or not.
Hi friend, thanks for the video. If you can help with some doubts.... Do we need to have any bridge to use this switch on homekit or can be used directly? can we control any smart device on my home or only Hue devices?
Adriano Pery de Sant'Ana Hi, this is a Friends of Hue Switch so you do need the Philips Hue Bridge to make it work. However, once it’s added to the Hue Bridge it is exposed to HomeKit, so you can program it to turn on anything else that is HomeKit compatible. Once installed you get 4 separate programmable buttons exposed to HomeKit. Even if you replace the two rocker switches with the 1 large switch, like I do in the video, HomeKit still sees it as four buttons.

Would really like to see how this mounts over the existing electrical switch

how do you setup the single rocker switch in the hue app it only has settings for the double rocker switch. is it possible?

Question: could I still control four scenes with the single rocker, pressing on the appropriate corner?

I love these types of switches!

There’s a definite click sound, but it’s not ‘sharp’ or snappy, more like a dull, muffled click.
How do you set up with HomeKit or Alexa? You cannot!!!!
