    The added music perfectly emulates how it feels when you keep trying different things, but can't figure out how to take something apart. It made me chuckle.

    Nice way to spend a Sunday, relaxing (or sweating) and scrapping a big AC unit. It's priceless to have neighbours you can have fun with and get on well together. 👍

    Great video!!! Lot of work, but you got some good stuff. As for your list, the whole thing. A couple melts sounds good to do. Stay cool brother!!

    that one was nice! I think the smaller window units are worth it if I rip through them quickly enough, bam bam rip it to pieces kind of thing

    Biggest mistake is not cutting the return bends off of the evaporator and condenser with a sawzall
    then removing the steel tube sheet ends.
    You will get more money if you bring the evaporator and condenser coils in as pure copper and aluminum with no steel attached.

    • @SkullerMetals
      @SkullerMetals  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll do that when I cut the noodles off. I have to remove that sheet steel to get rad prices.

    Another cool video. Out of your list. I’d just like to see a video on your plans on what you are going to do with the motor table. And of course a melt when the weather is cooler. And if you keep flicking stuff around the garage. You’re going to have to get a car cover for the wife car. No more scratches. Lol. 🎉🎉✌️😎

    • @SkullerMetals
      @SkullerMetals  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, I think that motor table will be a two-parter. First getting the copper out, then melting it. I think a good vid would be weighing it all up and comparing shred cost vs. stripping it out and melting it.

    • @88clemoine
      @88clemoine ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SkullerMetals So what do you think the percentage is in the motors. 80/20. Or closer to 90/10. In weight of the shred to the weight of the copper in each motor?

    • @SkullerMetals
      @SkullerMetals  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@88clemoine I'm guessing no better than 90/10.

    • @88clemoine
      @88clemoine ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SkullerMetals 10 to you is better than 10 in the scrap pile. Content from both the extraction of the copper and the melting will make it well worth it. Looking forward to both.

  • @gothicangel6313
    @gothicangel6313 ปีที่แล้ว

    That was funny! Your neighbors are awesome. 🤙🤙🤙 Out of curiosity, would you ever take apart a rad and try melting the copper and aluminum out of it? Can't wait for the other videos on your list to do. I personally don't usually have a preference to a specific video. Just as long as it's melting, scrapping, dumpster diving, and just ripping shit apart, go for it. 🤙🤙🤙💙💙💙💜💜💜

    • @SkullerMetals
      @SkullerMetals  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually I tried melting a rad without separating the metals. I thought it was good, then I dropped a piece and it shattered. Not a good copper-to-aluminum ratio. Need mostly copper and a little aluminum. Thanks for watching!

      @@SkullerMetals
      Any way to melt them separately?

    • @SkullerMetals
      @SkullerMetals  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gothicangel6313 There probably is a way. I think it would be pretty labor intensive. The copper tubing inside those rads are pretty thin. It wouldn't add up to much.
