This is the absolute best explanation of how the Englander control panel works. My son and I thank you for making this video and sharing it. It has cleared up so much. We kept having his Englander 25PDV spit out pellets on setting 9 and the fire was massive and unbearable heat. Then when you stepped it down one to 8 or anything else below. It would burn up those pellets before the next load would arrive. Basically, we called it a cycle which lasted about 15 mins. Now, we have it feeding a proper amount without any pause. The factory 6-4-1 setting just wasn't working. I believe the bottom auger spins slightly faster than the top can manage. I get a full rotation from the bottom auger in about 40 seconds rather than one full minute. It's a 1 RPM CCW motor. It just seems to move slightly faster than it should.
Hi...I just would like to give a "Shout Out," of all the videos watched for New Englander Stoves your panel video explains Every detail on how this Works! Just like how they install their motors and aulgers;theirs have no exact Details! Thank you very much...Excellent!😊👀👏🔥
Sir, not sure if you’ll see this comment but thank you!! Ive had my stove for three years and am kicking myself in the ass for not adjusting my stove to its optimal settings for what I need. I can’t even explain how many bags of pellets I’ve completed wasted!
Thank you for this ! So helpful :) just got my first pellet stove and the operations manual tells you what the buttons are for but not how do use them 😅. This was so helpful really appreciate it
Thank you! I just bought a farm and there’s a pellet stove in what will be my new workshop. I have no clue what I’m doing. Couldn’t even keep the pellets blot when I tried earlier 😂
Excellent video!! I have a ip25 new englander. Great stove. I have just hooked up a wifi tstat to it . I keep it clean. Blow it out weekly. Was having a lot of e2 codes. Ran the fresh air pipe to the outside of building and it runs better. Hotter. No errors.
Thank you. To be honest, I made this for my wife. Every damn year she forgets how to use the stove. I guess I’m really surprised how many people have watched this. But I’m glad people are finding it helpful
Keep in mind, there are actually Two augers. The one at the bottom of the hopper that feeds the one that goes into the burn pot. The speed adjustment only controls the auger at the bottom of the hopper
This is great!! I have a Timber Ridge that I bought around 2015. Looks like the same panel. Wonder if it works the same. Really interested in that far right button...
The lower buttons on the control board (Low Fuel Feed, Low Burn Air, and Air on Temp) are not meant to be adjusted during normal operation of the unit. These buttons are factory preset and can not be adjusted by the user.
Probably an airflow issue. If it’s not burning the pellets as fast as your feeding them, then you stove/exhaust pipe is likely not flowing enough air to get an effective burn.
Help?? The top auger motor on my Englander continuously turns, it does NOT turn intermittently as it should; thus it just keeps pouring pellets into fire box. It’s as if it is receiving constant power. I have the back off the stove and can see the motor/auger just keeps turning & turning. Any ideas of what could be causing this? Thank you so much. The model is an Englander 25-pdvc/55-shp10.
I feel like no matter what my heat range is set at it always drops pellets consistently around 6 seconds. Any idea what could be wrong? Also if i turn my fan up or down it doesnt really change much either. You can hear it change around 5+ but from 1-4 it sounds the same and from 5-9 it sounds the same. Hope that makes sense. I just feel like when i make any settings changes they dont do anythinga and the stove runs the same no matter what I do
Edit: I swapped the blower out right after commenting this. It fixed it. Must have a bum old blower. Will keep it incase of a pinch. But still unsure on the pellet auger timings.
I have same stove was running a couple hours at night than shut down. Than it wouldn't run at all. It would feed pellets and light than shut down E-2 code E-1 code SHUT DOWN There's a plastic tube in back had a crack at the spot where blower connect. I just cut about a half inch where the crack was and it works better than ever. Hope this helps someone
Mine is before error codes .. but as I understand it, that’s probably an airflow error. I imagine it uses a transducer or some other type way to confirm you have a proper air flow. If that’s the case it would probably use a tube from the room blower to measure that pressure. I watched a few vids on Englander stoves before I made this one and they talked about the error codes.
@@jenkelly3832 that worked! Thanks. I have a new model. 2019. The only thing left to figure out is how to adjust the fan independently of the feed. Currently if I increase the feed the blower automatically goes up. It doesn’t allow for the feed to be higher than the blower fan. I want the feed on 5 and the blower on 2 but it doesn’t allow for that at the moment. There has to be a way to unlock to allow them to be adjusted independently of each other.
@@Net_Observer That you cannot change. The blower can only be the same or higher. I'm assuming this is a safety issue so the box doesn't get too high and cause a fire.
Hey! Your video is very informative but I’m new to pellet stoves and struggling. I have an Englander from 2003. My settings are currently 4-3-1 and runs perfect when the heat/blow setting is on 2 but won’t run if I turn them down to 1. They won’t change independently of each other (they must both be the same setting on my stove). How can I keep my stove going on the lowest setting? My house is too small and it’s not cold enough out yet to need it up very high.
I have an englander for our house. It came with it. This should heat our 1350sq ft house no problem! But it doesn’t. Sounds like the blower isn’t coming on? Would that effect it enough not to heat the whole house?
Hi, does anyone know how to get into diagnostic mode? So you can turn on components individual for troubleshooting in case something fails. Thank you in advance.
@@ReiMonCoH the guy that installed it said I didn't need one bc my house isn't air tight. It's an old house. Anyway, do you think I could hook it up by drilling a hole in my floor and feeding the intake tube to the basement? Would that work?
@@nickr3441 Combustion air should always come from outside. That’s a code requirement. It should be a closed loop, air pulled in from outside and then exhausted outside. Will it “work”? Never a good question with an stove that produces CO.
Ive been running my stove with no outside air, not at all necessary unless its a small airtight space. My house furnace draws air from the house with return vents in each room. No co 2 problems.

What I do is take one long pellet & stick one end right in the igniter hole then put a handful of pellets on top ...making sure not to knock out the one that is in hole. Stove lights every time!
This is the most useful information I’ve found on my stove thanks a lot
Agreed
Thanks I’m new to this stove it came with my apartment. No instructions and your video. Just explain everything I needed to know. Thank you.

Make sure your pellets are fresh. Old pellets generally get sticky and damp.

The fan your talking about on other side is the exhaust motor. The make up air is little port in back that sucks air into the burn pot.

Question: No green light at on button
That's not a question, it's a statement of fact.
The flame on my pellet stove doesn't get very big, barely a flame. I don't have a cold air intake though, could that be the issue?
You don’t have a cold air intake?
Well, yes, combustion air is required. I suspect, like many pellet stoves, you have an airflow issue
