you can change the inputs and outputs pins by opening the GRPL config files and put pin numbers that you need I do not under stand your question exactly but I hope this answer your question
@@barthoogesteger8628 after downloading grbl file on your Arduino and connect your pins as shown in video you need only use a software like UGS to use it as a g code sender

Why to archive grbl if you can just copy and then paste?
it did not work on my pc so i choose to show the way that worked with me
