I’m was thinking about doing this and wondering about the Rise garden and Gardyn tower especially for the peppers and cucumbers. So glad this video came up on my feed! Look forward to to more videos from you soon!
I have both. Go with Rise Garden, it will provide you with way more value for your money. Everything about Rise is better quality. I have posted a very lengthy trust pilot review on Rise Garden where I compare it to Gardyn and if you go there you will be able to read in detail why I prefer Rise over Gardyn.
Thank you so much Patrick, I really appreciate hearing from you! I've got a Bluelab Guardian on each of my gardens (Bluelab is the brand, Guardian is the device). It's got probes that sit in the water tank and continuously monitor and display the EC, pH, and temperature of the water.
I thought I posted a comment here but maybe I forgot to click the button. I wanted to thank you again for yet another great video. I wanted to ask you a few questions related to your experience: 1. Have you been able to re-grow plants from the original seeds after the plants had bloomed and produced fruit? Have you been able to grab a seed from those peppers and grow them again or do you have to keep ordering from Rise Garden every time? 2. Do you know where I can buy Koppert online? I was not able to find a store.
I have successfully harvested seeds from other plants and regrown them but not these peppers specifically. The ones I'm growing are not from Rise and I still have more in the package so haven't needed to collect my own yet (but I will when I run out!). You can save any pepper seeds from a ripe pepper, dry them, and regrow a new plant as long as your plant is not a hybrid variety. It looks like if you're in the US then you can order Koppert products through this store www.koppertus.com/retail-shop I'm in Canada and they have a separate Canadian store retail.koppert.ca/collections/shop
Hi! Love your videos. I just had a question in the root system of your plants. I noticed you said you had one of your pepper plants for over 100 days. Do you trim your roots at all? If so, how often. If not, then how do you manage taking the plants out when it’s time to get rid of the plant?
I don't usually trim the roots unless they're blocking the flow of water or if there are too many roots and it's pushing the tray lid out of place (in that second case it's just so it looks nicer). When I remove the plant from the garden I lift up the tray and rip/cut the roots off and then pull the net cup out of the tray once the roots are off.
I'm using nutrients purchased at my local hydroponics store. Currently I'm using Botanicare brand because I was looking for something organic, but I understand that Botanicare is no longer shipping to my location (in Edmonton, Canada) so I'll need to look for something different when I run out.

Are you still using the Rise supplied nutrients? If not, what are you using now? I’m having an issue with the Rise nutrients clumping.
