- Compared 2 highclass casting Rods for traveling and catching the biggest Fish out there on the Survace (all kinds of Tunas, GT's aso.)
Lifting 5kg and 7.5kg to the same level with both Rods to compare.
The bending Curve of the two Rods are different, the ZENAQ is softer and bends over the Grip up to the Reel-Seat. DAIWA is stiffer, but also a good feeling in lifting weight.

I would definitely chose Saltiga. The bend point are fronter than ZENAQ. That's more contrl for me. And the tip are softer. Lighter means a lot too. Daiwa's carbon blank technology is undeniable indeed....
both Rods are great tools. Doesn't matter which one you choose, you will be satisfied with both :-) and the Daiwa Saltiga Rods are all high quality stuff!

It seems that Daiwa is much vulnerable for breakage, if you increase the weight, while Zenaq tends to work with the whole blank, not only the front parts. I would choose Zenaq of course, and this comparison is not at a same level. Zenaq is a high- end rod, and should be compared with his rivals from Ripple Fisher for example. Daiwa is most suited to be compared to its rival from Shimano, they are not high-end rods😊
Shimano has no Travel Rods in this price segment. Only the Beastmaster STC Rods, but they are less than half the price of the Daiwa Saltiga Series. The Daiwa Saltiga is half the price of a ZENAQ, but the most expensive Travel Rod iin the Daiwa Program. You are absolutly right, that other makes like Ripple fisher copmared better to the ZENAQ..... but i only can compare what i have by my own in my sortiment. The Daiwa Saltiga is my backup if the ZENAQ dies out on the sea.

the rods have different Max drag weight , the daiwa will bend similar to zenaq at higher weight , with the same weight the bending action will differ !
the bending action will not change with more ore less weight. Do you have a link, where Zenaq and Daiwa state the max. drag for this two rods?
@@amfromch i do not have links but this is defenetly true, a max drag of 2.34m PE 10 rod will not be as the same as a 2.52m PE 6 rod ...i expect 16kg for daiwa and 12 kg drag max on the zenaq . i invite you to repete the experience by using 11 kg test on zenaq and 15 kg on daiwa and you will see the results .
