- This is in response to the recent cases of femicide across Africa: Dr Moumita was brutally beaten and raped after her shift at a hospital; Ugadan Olympic athlete, Rebecca Cheptagei was set ablaze in front of her two kids by her ex-boyfriend; a 14-year-old girl was assaulted with a pestle by a 15-year old boy in Nigeria; Christiana Idowu was found murdered by a person she thought was a friend; a 300l student was kidnapped and murdered in FUNAAB These are just a few cases of women-killing.
