Could you have looked any happier Niall 😂🤗 A truly happy hiker!!!
High on life Miriam 🤣 Now a cup of tea 🍵 would have made it perfect 👌🤔
Food for thought, thanks for sharing 👍
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Thank you Niall for sharing, I think the reason people like video.s like your is they are down to earth and thats what ordinary folk like me like, its inspiring and I went for a 15min walk today nothing great but at least a bit of fresh air, all the very best for 2023 for you too and Martin your bestie buddy haha.
Thank you, this is probably the best comment I've ever received 😍

It was a lovely walk and it really put me in good form after being stuck inside all morning - even the lack of tea couldn't spoil it 🍵 🤣
The twirl of Joy was good! I did one in my last video as well. The Niall Twirl! Good to see you buzzing!

Nice sir
Nice video Niall. Thank you for all your tips...
Thank you 😊 Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Love your twirl at the start. Great video man and thanks for the shout out. I bloody love the boots. They are so well built. So glad you got out.... I have done it way to much.. staying in the house and wrecking my head. But get out... Edit and go with the flow. Great video again man. Looking forward to our next camp.
Cheers Martin, definitely needed a wee nudge that day 👍
Some great tips there Niall, thanks for sharing! I need to take you advice on tip 6 in 2023, I always seem to find some excuse not to go out! 🤞 Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks Gary, I wish I could take credit for coming up with them all originally 🙂
I can see the love in your eyes when you mention Martin😂😂 Ah no , great video Niall, you're right about filming, it makes the hike alot more enjoyable
He stalks me... Shhhhhhh that's our secret 😂 He's an absolute gent of a guy. So glad the TH-camr family is building.
🤣🤣
Pure bromance 🤣 The filming has definitely brought a new element for me this year 🙂
Definitely. I'd love if a few of us did a summit camp when the weather get better.
@@WildIrishman 2023.. full TH-camr meet up. Be some craic.
Hey cheers for the shout out. Delighted to hear that you liked the trekking pole idea and that little decathlon bag is class. I love mine and they're durable too. You can throw it down just about anywhere. Have you seen the straws for backpacking? I'll see if I can find a link
No bother Jason, it's definitely my best tip this year 🙂 No idea what the straws are but interested if you have the link?
😄 I've replied twice. I'd say they're in your held for review comments because there was links in them
Nothing there 🤔 YT must be having a NYE meltdown 🤣
@@nialloutdoors check out garagegrowngear and look for Hydration System - 28mm for SmartWater Bottle by One Bottle Hydration. You should find them handy enough
Found it, looks like a good compromise between a bladder and a bottle. Be careful though as US cap sizes are different to ours 👍
Help me
Will you be the president of the Martin fan club
I'd be a bit like Kathy Bates in "Misery" - his Number 1 fan 🪓🔪🤣
We are getting Married Ger 😂
All good fun keep up the great work Niall and Martin see you soon PG
I use the cheapest gear . Always have .
The sales pitch of gear on TH-cam is sad .
I disagree. Cheap isn't always best especially if you want to reduce bulk and weight while maintaining performance. It's like everything though, there's a happy medium and we don't always need the greatest and best brand. I find TH-cam reviews useful but it's a resource that needs used carefully and not with blinkers on.
@@nialloutdoors in the interest of science, I watched your video a second time to be sure of the point I made and respond to you effectively .
You began this vid talking about boots , then walking polls , then laces and knots. You talk about your chair , and your bag , your lack of fuel for tea . .. two water filters , insoles .. and physio tape .
When you start talking about the trees the larch etc that is interesting. .
What I was referring to was the sleeping system part of your video . I use the cheapest gear imaginable. My sleep system is very effective yet probably the cheapest lightest sleeping bag one can buy . I manage this with three layers of foil in the sleep system . That's my tip for you .
