Weird water requires saving before 22:00 hours when the wandering lights spawn, at least ~120 meters away, and save scumming to get the artifact to spawn in a place where you can reach it. It seems to clip through the ground sometimes, or sometimes just not spawn at all like the weird bolt, but it likes to spawn near/on top of the rocks. Weird water gives you the drunk effect when you are carrying more than 50 kilos, a really low limit considering it ups your capacity by 30 kilos, it ought to only give you that when you're up into the yellow segment of carry weight, and get worse in the red. Didn't know WW canceled out max rad artifacts since I already had lead slots, that's really neat, and the drunk effect can be tolerated when you're only getting it while humping a ton of loot to the nearest trader. As for the other weird artifacts... Weird bolt gives protection from all elements while it's charged. It can only take a few hits before losing charge, and losing the red glow effect in your inventory. Uncharged, it increases stamina consumption a lot, and requires running into a bunch of anomalies to recharge it. It's only halfass useful, but it can be nice for hunting artifacts, you just have to keep an eye on your stamina because doing one of the shitload of jumping puzzles and suddenly you need two and a half bars to jump? Yeah, I fell to a loading screen more than once before figuring out it was the damn bolt, not fun eating shit and loading a save because you think the game glitched out after you drank vodka, which also increases stamina consumption. Weird pot isn't worth it, at all. Food and drink are super common, so the hunger mechanic isn't much more than an annoyance. The pot gives you random effects from any food or drink, say chugging energy drinks when running across the map. I got a shitload of psy damage once, and since psy damage is bugged, it was guaranteed death, ruins your save. It's the easiest artifact to get, though, and sells for a pretty penny. Weird nut is hella useful, you lose a shit ton of health to the bleeding effect, and the nut cancels out bleeding faster than the hypercube. The slowed healing can actually be useful in some cases, say when trying to survive the tornado and collect the weird bolt. Weird ball is a great early game crutch, even late game it lets you tank damage so long as you're stationary. Doesn't do anything while moving, though, so get to cover and take your time popping heads, because your balls are bulletproof!

You're right about it being a good idea to save the game just before 10:00, but you don't need to be any distance away. You can actually be standing right in the middle of the wandering lights Zone with a safe just about a minute or two before they spawn in. And it will still spawn the lights and the water randomly somewhere. Makes hunting for it 100 times easier.

There's also a possibility that it did get knocked off the scaffold, and went tumbling a ways away. Maybe even fell through the map, or into the tornado. Best bet is to load a save from before you went there, good reason to use quick saves every fifteen or twenty minutes, and hard save at least every half hour to an hour. Failing that, run back to duty base, sleep a night or two, save ~150 meters away from the tower, run in and see if the nut is there, save scum it a few times, from both a distance and from right next to the artifact location, you might get lucky like you can with the bolt and force it to spawn where it's supposed to be. I don't think emissions affect weird artifacts, but they might cause them to reset, so that might be a possible fix. Some of the weird artifacts seem kinda bugged, you don't want to know how many tries it took me to get the bolt, you're supposed to do the whole jumping puzzle inside the eye of the tornado, but you can save scum it inside the crane and brute force it to spawn, it just isn't consistent. It can take two saves, or thirty, and if you fuck up catching the thing, lol, don't count on it spawning on your next reload. That thing suuuucks to get, and isn't even worth the headache, really. Now to be fair, the nut isn't the end-all, be-all, the hypercube is better, the nut is just more consistent to acquire. You can save scum the circus to get a hypercube. Two artifacts spawn there, I got the cube on my first reload. You can also grab the WW since it's close by, and allows you to use the cube without a lead slot.
@@JawsTheHungryShark I have had the same issue with the wierd Nut, problem for me was I went up the ladder outside to get the Dnirpo first and the grenade trap there might have pushed the nut off, so I reloaded to before then and it was there
You can run East once the Ward lockdown on Zal ends and you can progress to Garbage. Its nice and easy, even find a PDA next to an artifact that tells you how to slip through the hole in the check point fence on Lesser side. You can rush the check point prior to the Ward lockdown, but the wild island side gate isn't open and guards insta spawn left and right.
If it doesnt work, just give up, wait for a hot fix and then try again I guess, I tried this strat, as well as many other strats. I tried to sleep 24h and go there again, I tried reloading the save, wandering around anomaly area, the artifact is just not spawning, it is bugged, even devs claimed it (I could see it on steam discussion section, so...) just wait for the hot fix
Yup I spent well over ten hours and did all the things ppl said to do and it never spawned. I already have max carry weight from glitch but still would like for that thing to spawn. I went back after a patch and again last night and still nothing. Won’t be going back until I see a fix in patch notes

From what I looked up devs are aware of the issue and the fix should appear soon, so I believe we can expect it to be fixed in (hopefuly) next patch. I wouldn't really care if I didn't mind the carry weight to hoard loot and coupons or my masculine urge to have 100% achievements

I followed another guide and showed me 3 location on his map of where it would spawn at. It only took me 20 minutes. Just wait till it gets dark and check those 3 areas

Save yourself the trouble and install detect legendary artifacts mod, no need to keep guessing in that case if it's spawning or under map or w/e. If you don't want to spoil hunt too much just bring echo detector to know. Unlike all other artifacts fact of spawn for this one seems to be rolled globally when clock ticks between like 21:54 and 21:55, AND you have to be out of range of that lights, if you're just camping it right there on the point - it won't spawn, or rather it just won't reroll current spawn state fixed in that save. Source: ran detect legendaries mod + console command "XSetWeatherTime 21 50 0" back and forth right on the spawn - did nothing. Just reloading out of range save and coming to spawn - did nothing. Reloading out of range save AND rerolling time to retrigger threshold range though did get it to spawn in just a couple tries.

I just got liquid rock it gives max radiation and chemical protection with no negative effects. You can save just outside of an area and farm for the attic aft you want but I think higher lvl zones are better to farm
I searched for this artifact for over ten hours and it does not spawn for me. Have done different nights, have waited to walk in. Have done it all and it doesn’t spawn for me. I thankfully got max carry weight from doing the glitch but would be nice for the rad protection. But I even tried again last night and nope.
The only issue with weird water is that once you’re over 50 carry weight you’ll get a constant drunk effect. People always say it’s amazing and a must have but the drunk effect is the reason I’ll never use it, makes the game unplayable for me and defeats the point of using it.
Lol your cross hair is still on point just the bottom left tilts left and right. When drunk It's the best artifact in the game without using exploits Pair it with a max endurance artifact and the game is pretty much easy mode
I highly recommend mods. You can spawn this item in. I did. My game was glitched. I spent 2 hours trying to find it legitimately. That's after I spent 1.5 hours finding a thornberry and 20 minutes finding a compass, I got lucky on the compass. But weird water is the best artifact, no sense in not using it just because the game is bugged. Still having a great time with the game but before it's balanced I recommend mods.
Go during 2158 at the middle top area/hill . Save then when it starts look at the top, can’t find it immediately? Reload and try again. Unfortunately my first run is bugged and it doesn’t spawn. Second run found it immediately.
This artifact is ridiculously stupid to get. I still haven't found it. I tried doing it at night after 9 PM for about 3 hours each time reloading and trying a different method. 1. I tried going in without a weapon drawn. 2. I tried going in with only my knife drawn. 3. I tried going in with only the anomaly detector drawn. 4. I tried going in and killing all the red creatures that spawn and chase after me. 5. I tried going in and letting those red creatures attack me without me attacking back. 6. I tried going in and shooting each of the light orbs. 7. I tried going in and not shoot the light orbs. 8. I tried going in an purposely walking into each light orbs I see. Nothing worked. Pisses me off why game developers have to design something so mundane and aggravating such as this. I gave up. Finding something in a game shouldn't be taking the players this long. This is exactly why the people who want to play this game legit, but have to use mods and glitches to make the game fun.
It bugged try to 6 separate times what's going to All Around the map in in between it bugged I'm doing different side quests and Main Quest it is still bugged weird water is definitely bugged so you know so they can get help Xbox game pass thanks! It drops onto the map when it changes the night
Yeah ummm there are thousands of us for whatever reason there is no wierd water ever in that location, even after 10 emissions which some people thought would reset the item spawning, it doesnt. There are tons of us that would love to have wierd water and its perks but its simply unattainable at this point... major bug !!!!!
It is hands down the best and most important artifact in the zone. Cupple it with the second-best artifact - Thunderberry and you have the best the radiation protection, max carry weight and best endurance recovery. Three critical areas for new Stalkers out there. Grab the SEVA--D suit early to house them and you'll dominate.
And I thought Liquid Rock was amazing for the max radiation protection. Weird water seems to completely nullify all radiation. That's insanely OP. Or can you still get radiation in certain environments?
Yes. There are kill zones where the rads spike high enough regardless, one on the train blocking access to pripyat, another surrounding the slag heap. No resistance is enough to keep those areas from killing you very quickly.

I went to Zaton before crossing the bridge (Northern checkpoint) in the main quest. So yeah you can go there very early on in the game.

This thing is too op, before I found it I literally thought it makes the screen very shaky/blurry etc but it basically has no negative effect at all.
