- Choosing the flooring for the new addition is one of the biggest decisions I can make as far as appearance goes . I wanted neutral and timeless.

You can absolutely lay them right over the tile. They did in our home. The luxury vinyl plank flooring is fabulous. You will be in love with your choice. SO easy to clean and very durable. Great choice on the color. Excited to see your completed install. I know you are super excited. 😊😊
Did you have to use a handy man to install it over the tile???? We were at our local Lowe’s today and the salesman told us Lowe’s will not install over existing tile as it will not hold up and will be uneven and could cause breaks on the material where water when moping could seep through. We are doing a large Reno and looking at flooring options.

You can definitely lay LVP and laminate flooring over tile. I've done both, and let me tell you, it changes the look of the home completely, makes it look high end, is way easier to clean than tile...I would recommend it 100%. That is the exact flooring I have in my house. They did lay it over ceramic tile. Kari, you need a plastic barrier in case the concrete sweats, even though the flooring has a backing, trust me, you do. Any floor installer will advise you of this. We had ours professionally installed because of the tile but even on areas where carpet was they installed plastic sheathing between the floor and vinyl plank. Please check into this! I love the floor so much and so easy to clean!

I love that space, can’t wait till you start using it. You will love it. It is funny to hear you say it is hot, I live in Missouri waiting for a snowstorm. Ice storm followed by blizzard conditions all day Sunday. Karrie we have that flooring in our entire house except the bedroom and we love it. Every thing matches it (all wood tones). You’re not going to regret your decision.

Flooring is really pretty. From my experience you have to mix several boxes of flooring when laying it because the boxes can vary a lot from box to box .
