There is such warmth and truth in this show. I especially love how their Catholicism is portrayed; nothing pious, but sincere, awkward and funny. Here's hoping for many more seasons.
Ian Fee I agree. As someone who was brought up Catholic, I’ve faced a lot of prejudice for that and many tv sitcoms encourage anti Catholic attitudes and I think this show portrays it in a kind, respectful manner
Well fucking ABC canceled it. I think it's their loss. I understand they have to think about the shows that yield the most money and all that, but they should have kept The Kids Are Alright. It was very, very unique. What a shame.
More people need to recognize this show!!
This show is so well produced, written and acted. I gave it ten starts on IMDB. It ranks up there with "The Middle" and "The Goldbergs" with regard to high quality comedic portrayal of families whilst being G-rated. I'm such a huge fan.
i love that show!!! I wish a I was there,just to give them a high five and say “keep doing what your doing!” or just be part of the show,thats fine too! But I just want you guys to know that its a funny sitcom and I recomend that you watch it.

How is it possible that ABC is canceling this show??? 😩 I really hope some other, more intelligent channel takes it over. This show has a higher rating then The Conners...(which is total crap)...but yet they cancel this top rated show. FOX should take it over. I guess it's being canceled because it has "Catholics" in it...and it is not "Diverse" enough (to straight).

The Network execs that didn't renew this show must be fired, then drawn and quartered. This is in my top 3 tv shows of all time. I'm the same age as Joey. Though sadly for me, more like Davey. Better than The Goldbergs, better than Wonder Years. Every actor down to Santino is amazing and perfect. I've watched every episode at least 5 times. Not so sure about baby Andy. I apologize for liking it. Because, it seems, that when I love a show, it gets cancelled.

Why not? I mean, I'm Muslim and I know MANY Muslims would be up in arms if there's a show portraying Muslims like this show portrays Catholics, for its honest bigotry and what not. Is that your issue with it?
