you wrote such a nice and wonderful comment on here and I like your comment. I can tell you're a very positive person. How are you doing today?
0:35 “sometimes” - a small line in a brilliant song but great enough to make me feel compelled to comment on it
My favorite part is after the solo and it goes to the end of the song and then it's "Sometimes" I know I gotta get away, about time I know I have to get away, and I know if I don't I go out of my mind better leave her behind"
Still mesmerized by this band which conjures up so many bitter-sweet memories of those days.... alive and entranced after all these years -- love them so much!
1:18 Love how the Ox is playing with his fingers, and it cuts to him playing with a pick.
Probably just wanted to see what a pick was good for.
absolutely love this song. Great harmonies and just a good song. Keith moon playing drums at 2:10 is funny lol.
My anthem growing up in the late 70s before The Jam. Fantastic
One of my favorite Who tracks. The melody and harmonies are simply divine, and shows what a brilliant songwriter Pete is.
God almighty the best band ever
I could have told you that now you know
The Kids Are Alt-Right Are you actually a supporter of the Alt-Right?
+The Kids Are Alt-Right Get the fuck off of The Who's shit then.
God all mighty, but that is all right.

In just a few short years The Who would go on to record one of rock's greatest live concerts and become a massive arena act by cranking up those big chords Pete's mini-windmilling to in this early video. Incredible! Amazing band.
This song is one of my favourites from The Who. They played it in Paris 2023. I wasn't expecting that. The opening chord blew my mind.
THE WHO - THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT - KILLER TRACK ! ABSOLUTE LEGENDS !
What can I say... its all about the drummer. He made that band...
Keith Moon definitely the greatest Rock drummer of all time.
Sorry to say but Phil Collins is my choice of drummers.
@@genekleppingerii3804 Danny Carey is mine
Bruce Gary of the Knack.
Just a great, early song. they are all 21 years old and younger. Moon was such an innovative, original drummer. Even the way he holds the sticks is unique.
its like a mix between "a hard day's night" "please please me" and "all my loving" of The Beatles
Pete would kill you if you say that in front of him lol
My favourite Who song. Recorded at Battersea Fun Fair Park in 1965.
The entirety of Quadrophenia.
song was recorded in 1965. This promotional film was recorded in Hyde Park 1966
malcolm coghill,
no,this song was recorded in ibc studios marylebone, the video was shot at the serpentine hyde park.
@@jackjc1447 Maybe the next thing you will say that the Who were not Mods ! Tee Hee
This was pretty much my anthem as a teen, and now as an adult it serves as a great reminder of what it is to be young and gives me patience when dealing with the wonderful world of teens.
RIP Keith moon
Gone but never forgotten
1:22 John was literally a wizard on bass. His pick appears out of thin air
Keith was just 19 when this album was recorded, master
Possibly the best single of all time
Keith brilliant .Still get goosebumps listening to him on A Quick One While He's Away on Live at Leeds .
One of my favourite WHO songs and, Pete has written some unbelievable songs. He is the master.
I must say, Townshed has aged rather gracefully. He doesn't look bad now as a grandpa: just saw him in a magazine, and looks good for his age.
+Joe Dubya he certainly looks much better than he did in the late 80s! But you're right, I think he's still very handsome at 70, it's the eyes, the smile and most of all his charisma, which has made him look great all through his life (even with the terrible 89 ponytail)
Roger aged better than Townsend. But they still look pretty good for their age
@@omnom338rules4 yeah, to bad it wasn’t the case for John and Keith. R.I.P.
GOD BLESS THE WHO ! KEITH MOON WAS ONE OF THE BEST DRUMMERS OF ALL TIME ! THE BAND WAS INCREDIBLE !
Wow i just got into the who and i totally love this first album and especially this song. It gives me beatles vibes, like this song could easily make it to Rubber Soul imo
Omg why am I just now discovering the greatest of this song?!
Hahaha very funny. How are you doing today?
O que importa é que você descobriu
beautiful writing, great song, the Kings of their world singing in a London park in the 1960s.... ACE The Who
first part of the vocal melody reminds me of "I'm just happy to dance with you" by The Beatles.
So I was not the only one! :D
I believe this is the perfect three minute music video. The melody, the uplifting lyrics, the harmony, the four group members each with their distinct personality showing through. Not to mention the idyllic English boating lake and the "kids" just hanging out. Absolute perfection.
I WANT THAT BASS!!!
Mod as Mod can be!!!!
There is a Pic of the who actually performing it in the park in coulor
Oh Moon looks so ...constrained. Free Moonie!
+George Mortimer Don't worry the kid is alright
+George Mortimer :(,
+Angus Davies I'm sure after they shot this they let him go to a room with some drums to destroy.
I'd like to think so, but there's the problem of dead insurance agencies. Long destroy the drums (or anything remotely looking like drums) and messing around with journalists. No explosives, you randy bastards.
Sorry. I didn't mean to describe bastards as all being randy, just the ones here what won't bash up their stuff. That includes children of married people.
Rock and Roll made to sound pretty. A terrific song.
Love these young mods in B & W!!!!
