- I'm back!!! I was able to do a lot of thinking while taking care of the new baby and I saw that article about Bohemia Interactive saying that Arma 4 is not in development. That means that there is still time to think about what is added into the game. For this video, I give my input on 5 mods that I would like to see implemented into the core components of the next iteration of Arma. Make sure you comment below and let me know what you think! Glad to be back everyone!
Just saying, i am against the development of arma 4, as we are still MISSING A LOT OF ARMA 2 MODS, stuff like RH weapon, Lingor Aircraft and units, and if we do get them CUP shows that some of these mod wont have the needed quality to keep up with the new graphic, and i would hate to have the same case of unported mods arma 3 mods happening in arma 4.
I don't think Blitzkrieg should be a thing in the next installment of Arma or any further installment. In my opinion, which I can not express enough that this is all entirely my opinion, it's the exact opposite of what Arma is. Arma is a slow, realistic, modern shooter. Not some Call of Duty arcade shoot em up. It is also, not a battle royal game. I'll leave my opinion on Battle Royals out of this, but the point is that Arma is not like that. I mean, the game punishes you for being too aggressive or fast, which is what Blitzkrieg requires, and it's too grounded and realistic to have a battle royal. Besides that, i agree with your list

well the next arma will most likely be on a new engine as Arma 3 was pushing the engine it was using to the limits, hence so many problems and one of the major fixes was going from 32 bit to 64 but a new engine (as long as done properly) Should Fix a lot of the problems but it is to be seen
Agreed, playing arma 3 with AI is frustating
@Slavic Uuuhhhh... i9-9900K (Overclocked to 4.2GHz) and a GeForce RTX Titan 24GB, 64GB G.Skill TridentZ 3000MHz for RAM. Max graphics on any large king of the hill server, I'm getting 40-50, barely 60 FPS. Any other program, photoshop, Planetside 2, Star Citizen even, I'm getting 60+ fps EASILY. Arma 3 is just one of those large games that no matter what graphics setting you run it on, and no matter how good of a computer you have, you're running at shit FPS.
I mean you said "granted you probably run it with max graphics." The point is, most any other game of the same size as Arma 3, or bigger, can run a hell of a lot better due to optimization and it doesn't matter how good your PC is, it won't help at all when you play an unoptimized at max settings, or low settings. @Slavic
Terran manipulation, caves, trenches, foxholes, being able to dig underground bunkers or even cities. Also building creation for easy access into mods and the creation of the bunkers etc... Edit also SpatialOS for them huge battles over maps, countries or continents...

Your list is good but I would put Miller under that honorable mention thing and istead of it ace because the interaction system is very good. Things like advanced ballistic or advanced medic system should be integreated as an optional thing as it is now in ace.

ACE must be in Arma IV but needs be set in disable in standard. But must be in somewhere in the base game.

6:15 - Finally need to make a mod so that dead bodies stop flying and got your realistic weight! Bohemia for a more 5 years can not understand how to work with regdol and NPhysiX. I still hope that someday I will see such a mod.
There are mods that make the body more rigid so it doesn't break it's knees or sprinkle it's hands. One of those is Incon effects mod, it's literally what you ask for.
@@solringen6599 I was try use it before, but it's no use. This mod could only add some effects but was not able to fix the jumping of dead bodies (cardboard bodies). Now this mod has not been updated for a long time.
I myself use a big number of mods for things such as this, and corpses don't jump around at all, I might as well check my modlist when I can and tell you the mods I use.
@@solringen6599 I would really like to be wrong, but Unfortunately, the corpses jump, even with Incon mod, Maybe another mod affects the solution to the problem? 6:15 - in this example, the corpses jump from the -full erect , crouch stance. Perhaps some kind of mod can fix/reduce it. But the main problem - is the jump from the prone! Approximately Every time 1 out of 5-8 kills ends with a jump. I have not seen any mod that can completely fix this.
Better FPS in town, more maps/cammo cloth.. , better UI** (priority), squads like in Brothers in Arms type
They should have a conquest mode like a total war campaign but in arma.
Also add management like in Xcom and there you have it.

Liberation Lythium + ACE3+ RHS (all of them) + project opfor. and ignore the threat percentage. Trust me. and good luck.
Also, I'd definitely like to see modules for the editor that can make a Squad-type game such as AAS, Invasion, or Insurgency. Something you can plop down, define factions, set capture points, and click play. Have a whole round of fun action with air, armor, and infantry assets working together to secure a section of the map.
Honestly, I'd like to see global simulation, OR something like Google Maps integration where you can highlight a section of say.... East Ukraine, and have ARMA 4 procedurally generate a map from that highlighted area using assets from the game.
The only thing they should focus on in Arma 4 is optimization no more crappy performance thats all i am asking for Arma mods will always be here no matter what
I'm sure optimization and the new engine will be the biggest win in Arma 4.

My suggest for Arma 4 is to create a middle level editor, what I mean is an editor so easy to use that really everyone can use it as now Eden Editor is quite complex to use. An easier and quicker editor for missions that are not complex. At the moment Eden is for people that invest a lot of time and effort to build mission, but in my opinion the goal is to build a mission within 3 hours. Another feature that this editor should encourage is to have multiple version of the same mission; What I mean is that once the mission is crafted it would be nice just to add easily element of surprise, so to have different takes on the same mission and increasing in this way replayability.
Arma IS a mil sim though not something that is intended for the 'casual gamer' - there is COD or BF for that.
There needs to be a mod that allows you to use a combat knife if you've run out of bullets or had a weapon jam or just because you want to get up close & personal. I'd also like to see lots of new houses & buildings with floor plans I haven't been through so many times I can navigate them in my sleep.
I hope they make alot of performance enhancements like FPS, Hitreg, better multi threading, and better server Replication. I would also like to see VR support, and better environment/building destruction.
But My list of added features from mods would be:
1. Enhanced Movement
2. Ace(do mission moduals, just like ace does now, to toggle the casual/realistic fun.)
3.Tfar/acre (but built into the game, and again just add mission modules so the mission maker can deside how hard)
4. Exile/life (If they could add a item store, and the ability for server makers to save and load custom stats, player location, mission defined variables, and user placed objects so many more mission makers could make some really cool stuff. )
5.Alive/or something like that (Dynamic AI, AI bases, AI commander, and other AI improvments. Could give a way for war to keep raging plus the one I mentioned before could make some really cool missions across whatever map it is.)
6. Plus the other ones mentioned in the video be great as well.
I want VR for this soooo bad.
Vr would not bee possible because the controllers have limited buttons, honestly arma vr would just be horrible

It is good that they don't want to rush another part out and I hope that they are working on a new engine. Not saying that engine doesn't fit it but you can't use THE SAME ENGINE SINCE OPERATION FLASHPOINT!

I THINK it would be a game changer surprise to have an (earning mod) in ARMA4 where players can bet a limited amount of money to participate not only to win a game but the price as well . . .we can make a living out of it, yeah !!

5. Blastcore / explosion enhancer - default ones are bland. Theyre a pumph of smoke for god sake.

Interesting mod selection. I agree that marketing the game is important for the future of Arma. I think they've done a good job incorporating new content. But I'd like to see them fix and update the physics (no more flying tanks, better flight models for aircraft), more fluid movement and animations (ie climbing), optimized terrain rendering engine and add VR support.
This is only tangentially related.
I would love to see a mod that gives you handheld cameras and vehicle-mounted cameras. In fact, set equipment period.
I'm talking greenscreens, I'm talking slow-mo, flippers, explosives for practical effects complete with sparks and Michael Bay fireworks. Shit would be clutch yo.
I wish we’ll get modern days assets, factions, maps, missions and campaigns. Realistic damage, improved AI, physics, sounds and animations.

Just bought Arma 3 a few days ago. liking it alot with just going through the singleplayer campaign sofar, (don't have huge amounts of time to invest right now into a single a game,) just wondering where I should look for noob friendly guilds (or whatever they're called in arma) to look into getting some multiplayer stuff done.

Hey man! Welcome to the Arma community! The kind of multiplayer scenarios is pretty diverse. Our community has a milsim type group where we do military type operations for it. We've worked with a lot of people who are new to arma since we know there is a pretty big learning curve. If you join the discord in the description you can get to know some other people who are pretty new too.

The modern day mods are the best and the rhs mods are basically just essential content adders not time changers
They should add ACE mod as a Default setting to Arma 4, It is nice it givens more realism to game one better medical system, it fixes bugs and it adds a Advanced Ballistic system that on my opinion is better than Arma 3 System.
the only problem is the mod's size because every mod that is going to be in Arma 4 are going to have updates and there GB and MB size will increase

Honestly? Pure dumb luck. That spot on the river was at just the right height to do that. Helo is sitting on the ground and I set a trigger to have it take off 3 seconds after I get near the rear door.

What if BI works with modders? They can have multiple time periods, while still having their own setting, all in one package. Also, I’m fine if they continue the on the A3 story, just please, no MX, go back to the AR platform or something

Yeah, kinda predicted that ArmA 4 isn't in development yet. HOWEVER, I think they are doing the Enfusion-engine for ArmA 4.

The only thing I want is that they work on proper textures and FPS optimization.
And to the modders: TEXTURES. when I look at most of the Arma 3 unit mods, they look horrible. I remember downloading a Arma 2 mod wich gives you the Luftwaffe units. The Tiger Helicopter and the CH-53 had mirrored textures and were probably 1024x1024... plain, fucking bad.
No, ace would ruin Arma instantly. Everything else would be awesome. My suggestion would be something that makes mission cutscene WAY more easier.

I wish Arma 4 would be in Unreal i mean the new dayz engine is kinda ok alot of good progression but i feel like Unreal is just so good
Unreal is notoriously bad for games like Arma! Enfusion is much better as you can already see with DayZ, 100 players 100+fps loads or mods and uses all of my hardware well!

I know its not a mod but, BUG FIXES, i make scenarios but i have a glitch which removes facewear from my character and it ruins the immersion

You care too much about 'casual gamers' in your explanations in my opinion. Casuals do not play arma or play stuffs like dayZ at best. Arma 4 should not be streamlined for casual gamers. ACE is trying to make ARMA better, which means more realistic, it is a simulation after all. I would rank it number 1.
