That is what the Niners have been missing. Yes Deebo can do that but defenses have locked in on him this year. Now, you have to worry about CMC sneaking out of the backfield with open space in front of him. That is bad news for defenses.

#22 will be the closest thing to #33 the 49ers have had in a long time!!! I believe that Roger Craig is the only HB for S.F. that has gone for 1000rush and 1000rec. In one season.

I don't think he was pushing cmc for KC or buffalo, he's been of the mindset that teams like KC and Bills shouldn't be wasting resources on momentary trades and instead be looking at things more long term.

Deebo and CMC are going to be a deadly combo. CMC running behind Shanahan's system is going to be a scoring machine. With that defense, if they stay healthy, I could see the 49ers representing the NFC this year.
And then it will be for nought WHEN CMC pulls a hammy or gets a high ankle sprain. Something that will take him out for a chunk of the middle of the remaining season.

I’m a 49ers fan and CMAC is a great pick up for me as adds a totally different dynamic to our offence. He’s a good running back but he is also a really good slot receiver, with the weapons the niners have now this is going to be a nightmare for any opposing defence to manage.

A team with injury issues trades for a guy with injury issues. The irony isn't lost on me.
With Trey Lance and now this trade, they really mortgaged the future. They better win because there might be some dark days ahead on San Fran. The draft is necessary for cheap talent.

What Nick is missing is the fact that in San Fran, CMC’s usage won’t be nearly as much as it was in Carolina. We ran him into injuries! With them though, he’ll be moved around MUCH more and his workload won’t comprise his health.

We had extra picks to peddle due to Salah and Co leaving to NY, MIA, and WASH....and from what I understand CMC is only gonna cost SF like 600k or something like that. I think it was worth it because teams will HAVE to pay attention to him if he's lined up, which frees up Deebo and others a bit more.

EXACTLY. Your best ability is your availability. Panthers took an L on CMAC. They paid him early and made him the highest paid RB in the league when they didn't have to after the second and best year of his rookie contract and then he barely touched the field the last two seasons. I don't think this pick up is as good as everyone thinks it is like Nic said, it only works out ... if it works out. IMO this is another team overreaching for a player who hasn't been on the field much in two years.

They havent replaced Mostert since he left for Miami. All those plays were missing - jet sweeps, reverses, outside zone runs, etc. McCaffrey repalces Mostert. Those plays can be run again.
Nick’s take on Kyler is a bit off. Nick says there is evidence of Kyler being hard to work with but he never presented any.

Nick is right. Picks are undervalued by general public and even analysts. NFL picks are massively more valuable than say NBA picks. 9ers overpaid. Bentley analogy is spot on.

I like Broussard's take it's not like how these rookies we draft high is going to make the team on a Super Bowl roster, with a Loaded team like this it's about re-signing your own players in the off-season and strengthening your weaknesses weather sign or draft, well in this case sign, besides that who wouldn't want to come to the 9ers and play while also having fun in winning.
They have too many players under contract moving forward. They literally couldn't sign all the draft picks they had.

Broussard said it. Anyone can run behind that zone blocking scheme but MaCaffrey can split out to the slot and run the whole route tree. The things they'll be able to do with him and Deebo and Kittle will be really hard to defend. Both Deebo and Kittle can block for him too.

No point in keeping picks if the 1st or 2nd rounder isn’t going to be replace any skill position as a starter. QB, TE, WR, RB are set for the next two years. Sure the Niners could beef up the line or get a new CB, but they can probably move up to a 2nd by trading two 3rd’s if they really covet a player.
CMAC is a great addition. Imagine Debo and Christian in the same backfield. Not to mention Kittle and Ayuikts the targets for Jimmy G are numerous, The defenses are going to have migraines trying to cover all these guys and add the difficulty of diagnosing what Shanahan is going to do next . I see an unbelievably explosive offense. Great acquisition in my opinion. Go niners.

Gotta admit I used to hate Nick and this show cuz they were hot-take central for awhile with not much insight, but Nick has gotten a lot better and featuring Broussard more was the perfect move, cuz he's the complete opposite of hot-takes and always just keeps it real and brings stats and knowledge to back his opinions.

Before CMC was the focus for the offense and got worn down and overused. I think with Kittle and Deebo sharing the load he is more likely to remain healthy.

I think the trade is dumb for both parties. It’s dumb for the niners because they gave up way to much for an oft injured RB in his 6th year whom they really didn’t need and may not even be able to use effectively. It’s dumb for the panthers because they are blowing up their season after a whopping 6 games, which, on top of being the kind of thing losers do, will also likely not work for them. Say you get a 1st round QB this like Stroud or Bryce Young. Okay: now what? Who’s he going to throw to? I think we all suspect Moore is on his way out real soon. Who’s he going to hand the ball off to? Can’t expect the rookie QB to throw the whole game. Are they going to tank the defense as well? Is there shiny new QB going to have to overcome 20+ point deficits? And what happens when he loses? Are they just going to tank again? It just reeks of dysfunction to me. I don’t think either team wins.
Nick clearly doesn't understand 49er football. It is based and flourishes on the run game.
