- Pro Bowl rosters were announced and Christian McCaffrey was left off of the NFC roster. Many fans think it is the biggest snub as he leads the NFC in total scrimmage yards. Saquon Barkley, Tony Pollard and Miles Sanders were the three running backs named to the roster. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe debate whether CMC should have made the roster or not.

I’d just like to shout out Dalvin Cook and CMC for being relatively healthy all year. These are two guys who are always nagged by injuries but have fought through it and haven’t missed a game all season. Very impressive.

He didn't play that well in Carolina, and he's going to get overrated in SF. So how good he is is somewhere in the middle. Mitchell, their 6th round pick last season, had pro bowl worthy numbers if he hadn't missed games last season. SF's system elevates RBs.

McCaffrey is part of the reason the 49ers have dramatically improved.
Like Deebo last year CMC is the offense.
If he had started out as a 49er with the same level of production as of now, he'd have about 1000 rushing yards, 650 receiving yards and 12 to 14 TDs. You're right, he is the reason behind the offensive success of Jimmy G and now Brock Purdy. He opens everything up for the others and he is already an integral part of Kyle Shannahan's game plans.

CMC definitely got snubbed. He was ALL of Panthers offense and now made 49ers more dynamic with most all purpose yards. Only RB after LT with a rushing, passing and throwing TD. Once in a generation RB.

he deserved it over Sanders too. Sanders doesn't even have 80 receiving yards this season, CMC has surpassed that in a single game three times this season alone, even though Sanders has Hurts as his QB and CMC has had Baker, PJ Walker, Jimmy G and Purdy. The scrimmage yards aren't even close

@Est.1998 I agree with you. He has come of age this season and has started to figure out the Giants aggressive defense. He is a nose tackle with 6.5 sacks!. Washington plays with 4 down lineman with arguably 2 of the best on that line in the league. But that defense as a whole is just not good, bottom of the league in every category but sacks. Dexter in a 3 down lineman front at nose tackle is one of the reasons the Giants are 7th in defense. He is one of the last of a dying breed in the NFL, 350-pound lineman like we used to see in the 80s and 90s.

Sanders isn’t as explosive as Cmac or powerful as Barkley, but he is EXTREMELY consistent and suffers from a coaching staff that consistently forgets to run the ball with him and not hurts… seeing as hurts is now injured because of it.

Never is Tony Pollard faster than CMC. Once McCaffrey is in the open plane nobody catches him from behind while many other top 10 RBs get closed in on much more often. Only Saquon is faster and might be a just as good a catcher. Just two weeks ago, King Henry got chased down from behind and lost the football in the end zone. Pollard is very good and accelerates greatly. But he has Zeke who for 3 qtr. puts the punishment on Linebackers in order for Pollard to run by the tired defense. CMC probably runs a 4.3/4.4.
C mac don't run no 4.3 he didn't coming out of college he damn sure doesn't run anywhere close to a 4.3 now and you obviously haven't been watching the Cowboys because Pollards breakout game was when zeke was injured. @@Mac11Mike Saquon, when healthy, is by far the best RB in the league. King Henry is 2nd. CMC is Top 5. He got hurt so much because he carried the Panthers. As a 49er, CMC can give you 20-25 touches and 5-10 receptions. He is a bina fide dual threat. Tony has 15 touches on average and he is not an active part in the passing game. Even in his breakout game which was against the Bears (who are ranked 27th against the run) he didn't have more than 20 touches and he ran for like 150 yards. Without Zeke, he averaged 15 carries, 105 rushing yrds and 2 TDs per game. Justin Fields has more rushing yards than Pollard rn. Tony shares responsibilities with Zeke who softens up defenses for him. Zeke's the work horse, Pollard's the dagger. It's not a knock on Tony who is really good. He ain't no CMC, though. It's Skip who has to exaggerate everything Cowboys. And no, I don't watch Cowboys games. I think they are overrated.

That's why Chandler Jones in AZ always made All Pro but would miss the pro bowl. Or even Roquan Smith missing pro bowl constantly while in Chicago despite always being a top 3 LB pretty much every year

There are six Niners in the Pro Bowl team. I suppose you have to spread the love around but really there should be at least 8 or 9. CMC should be in, but arguable Dre Greenlaw not making it is even worse! There's also Deebo who has every right to be in there too. The problem with CMC and Deebo is that they don't top the relevant stats in their respective positions, both run and catch. When it comes to total yards and yards after the catch they are stellar! I think most people would want both on their team given the choice... they are both game changers and genuine ballers.
But it doesn't mean that much really... the Pro Bowl is a farce... and the Niners are likely going to the Superbowl anyway.
