Strange how the musks don't realize from the beginning how strong they are when sticking together, but their first instinct is to run.
Seems to be common mistake of all large herbivores.
When confronted with a situation, the flight or fight instinct kicks in. Herd mentality is to run first until they can gain support from other Musk Oxen to stand their ground and defend. Same can be said about humans too.
you can't know at first how many wolves are gonna come, it could have been one it could have been a bunch

Like they think if all plants and animals disappear they think the world will be a better place. Not when y’all begin to starve and breathe in nasty polluted air. Nature is actually responsible for the reason why all these people are here right now. And they need to show some appreciation. But no they are not, the only thing they are doing is making the world and the environment and all of its inhabitants live in a bad place. It make me sick that we’re living amongst these selfish idiots who don’t care about nothing but themselves and their stupid way of making the earth a deadly place to be. It’s supposed to be clean not dirty and the reason why many fish are dying is because they keep on throwing trash in the ocean with their lazy selves. They are that freaking lazy that they can't even throw their trash in the garbage. All they wanna do is throw it in the ocean and say (well that not a problem maybe the fish will be cool with me throwing this soda can in the ocean.) like man I am sick of these people!!

People might naturally cheer for the oxen, but keep in mind that wolves only kill what they need to survive. They don't drive a species to extinction. That's a uniquely human tendency.

I'm curious why they run initially? It seems like they will stand their ground and are confident in their strength, so why run in the first place?
Musk oxen are naturally driven to run when a wolf pack approaches, usually it is better to run than risk injury to save one being killed by wolves, and all it takes is usually one musk oxen to run away for the rest of the herd to follow, when it’s 2 wolves like this, they are less inclined to run though
