I failed my first test, followed by a pass in the second. Control your nerves people! In the real test most examiners are friendly and understand the pressure your under - I was extremely nervous on both of mine, but after a while you just need to relax and imagine your driving with a full license. Your there to pass your test and be able to drive by yourself - treat it as if your driving alone or with a friend as this is what you will be doing if you do pass. This method definitely calmed me down, and I recommend it to anyone.
Hitting the curb on a driving is classed as a lack of control from what I have heard, some say it cuts the tires but in my job we have to mount curbs daily and it does no damage
First and last five minutes are the most likely times to fail. Take it easy at the start and think, then get your normal game going. The examiner does not know you and wants to see safe stuff. Towards end particularly if you think it is in the bag it is easy to lose concentration so again think and try and concentrate fully.
Passed 3 minors after 2 weeks intensive lessons 3hrs a day with family member who's a terrible driver 🤣 No paid lessons just many hrs of TH-cam Hardest thing I've ever done but totally worth it!
one word of advice when getting car insurance don't have it start on that same day you get the quote start it a week after so if you ring up on a monday tell them you want the policy to start the following Monday I saved over £600 by doing that
Yeah. I think a good time might be around 11am. You'll be missing out the morning rush, (hopefully) the lunchtime rush and the school rush (around 2/2:30pm onwards)
Best time is 9:07am if can get that time slot. Roads are quiter and miss school run :) x i passed my test last september and only had 3 minors due to clutch control x
@@reddie8130 I passed with only one minor 😎✨ Edit: I took the test at around 9:30am since I was waiting for the examiner to arrive but the roads where still dead around that time. Other than that I would definitely recommend booking your test at around 9:00am if you can (depends where you live tho since some areas are busy than others).
this guy has some strange habits already. driving around with foot constantly resting on the clutch which usually means its very slightly depressed in and probably aches your foot aswell, plus the braking and clutch at same time, you dont need to brake on a flat and if your on a hill up just use clutch control to hold the car, handbrake on if facing downwards just making it so much more harder than it should be
Omg my instructor tells me to always keep my foot on the clutch. When i tell u my body is in PAIN after my 2 hour lessons. Especially when holding the bite in traffic or at a long red light 😫
Hopefully he breaks that habit because it's a hard habit to break if it goes unnoticed during lessons. I've been driving for years and still have the habit of resting my foot above or on the clutch, feels unnatural not to now 😐 never got pulled up about it during lessons or the test and it's not good for the clutch either.
Is it really a serious fault to bump (but not mount) the curb when parking and at a very low speed? Or is it up to the examiner's discretion? Regular drivers do this all the time, seems a bit unfair!
It’s definitely a minor as I hit the kerb twice during a reverse parallel park manoeuvre a few days ago. I don’t think the examiner noticed the second time because I only got one minor. When I hit it second time, I thought I failed but he took in the opposite side of the test centre and carried on with the test so I knew it wasn’t a fail.
Sounds dumb but keep refreshing the page on the gov site just when your about to book it , where it says “no tests available” and I did this for a few mins and one came up that was a week away, super lucky considering it said none till September.. but good luck
I booked a random date in October at a test centre miles away, downloaded a cancellation app and it's got me a date for next week at my local test centre!
Really need answer for this. I had minor accident last January which was my fault. I hit other vehicle. Mine had a scratch and other vehicle had a little dent on the side. I got an email from my insurance that they claimed for £5000. And also after 3 months they again said they made a personal injury claim. I got shocked... So i said to my insurance company to send me the copy of the claim that they made. But my insurance company refused saying it has sensitive information. So what do u have to say about this? Is my insurance company lying to me?

The engine will help to slow the car down when the clutch is not pressed - it's called "engine braking". Also, clutches don't like being part-engaged because that's when most of the wear occurs. Only press the clutch when braking if you are changing down, or literally about to stop.
Had my test this morning and five minutes into it a nail got stuck in the tire and we had to stop the test wow now I have to wait fucking ages I’m gutted
At the beginning, he gets asked "how do you check if your indicators work", and he proceeds to answer with "hazard button" That's wrong. While it does turn on the indicators, and you can check if they light up or not, the indicator lever could be broken, and then it doesn't matter if the lights themselves work because you will never be able to activate them, and this way you wouldn't even know if they work or not. Always check with the lever itself.
It’s correct tho, u put ur hazard warning lights on and check around the car😂. Ur ways fine, but the hazard warning is the correct answer for the driving test
