What a gem! I used to go home for lunch when I was at school, and this was on discover shed I think the channel was called. I'd have my lunch and watch this. Memories!
First saw this series when I was 10 years old - my granny was one of those people who had the TV on all day, and she saw a bit of this on on the Home and Leisure channel and phoned my mum up to let us know it was on. We recorded it onto a DVD and happily watched the programs over and over again. Now I am grown up with my own house with garden...the question is will a railway be getting put in it..
If you still have them on DVD, there’s a few episodes that aren’t available anymore, and since Mark has sadly passed I doubt they’ll ever be seen again!
can't thank you enough for uploading this, I've always liked railways but a chance watching of one of the episodes at my child minders house years ago got me intrested in railway modeling and resulted in a Hornby Train set of santa that year. I will now watch the rest of the series, thanks for uploading it.
Thanks for this ! just stumbled across today ... am sharing with others via my email mailing list. "G-Gauge may not RULE, But it GROWS on YA !!" djc'99
Hello, so glad this series has been uploaded to TH-cam. Must have watched it countless times on what was Discovery Home and Leisure. I saw in the playlist that 3 of the videos are hidden, would it be possible for them to be unhidden? :P Hope Mark Found is doing well these days.
Very amusing seeing that little green loco priced at £150. Hornby just released their 2022 range and £150 wouldnt even buy you a railroad diesel engine, and thats in 00!
Quirky Newsletter Mamod deliberately concentrate on cheap models, The more expensive are Roundhouse, while they make expensive British and American models, with things such as Remote control, they also make cheaper basic models. Also for a first mode (to have something running) There are some very good relatively good cheap battery machines around
Neil Evans Had My fun with mamods, roundhouse etc. I'm more interested in the actual prototypes, hence why i'm involed with the Bluebell railway and private 10 1/4 miniature railway ;)

It was a mamod Live steam locomotive. I would have thought may be a little more expensive now but shop around on ebay or at shows.
