    This week, we visit an architect’s own home in Bedok North. Kenneth and his puppy Jinko are staying in a 3-room HDB sized at 732 square feet. He chose a neutral palette and restricted the choice of materials to just 2 or 3 to keep things consistent. Kenneth tried a different design language here, with a single horizon line of 0.9m that carries throughout the space.
    One of the highlights of the home is definitely the dramatic arch just behind the dining that he uses as an ever-changing gallery. He used a custom long 3m dining and study table which also helps to accentuate the length of the space.
    Finally, the master bathroom was expanded to twice the normal size to accommodate a proper shower. Kenneth also used tiles here that remind you of the surface of the moon.
    Special thanks to Kenneth for taking the time to show us around his elegant home! For more, please visit: / quarters.sg

    Well done on pushing the one concept throughout the apartment. It's minimal in its own way and does provide a calming space. I can imagine how easy it is to maintain such a beautiful and timeless home when there's no clutter. I bet there are others who are envious that they're unable to maintain such a simple and slow living lifestyle, but thank goodness all they can do is make snarky comments. 💯💯

    Simple, and tasteful. That's what more homes should be. Fluted panel as wall feature isn't hard to clean or maintain. I haven't heard of anyone who cleans their walls even without a wall panel. 😅

    • @slaiyfershin

      You can opt out for HIP toilet reno. Fluted panels are beautiful but extremely expensive, same for those curve edges.

    • @tinachan7013
      @tinachan7013 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LordBagdanoff opt out is possible only if you passed water test(leaking), which I guess should be since his is newly renovated...but still, you never know

      Fluted panel are the trend but dust between the panel and time to upkeep it is HELL.
      I have seen owner applying it to small section like feature wall but this guy took it to the next level but applying it to almost the entire home ☠️☠️☠️☠️
