How i paid $100 for Bi-Level PentHouse at the Sheraton On The Falls Hotel in Niagara Falls

I booked a 1 Bedroom 2 Queen Beds Interior Room with NO VIEWS at the Sheraton on The Falls Hotel in Niagara Falls and was unbelievably upgraded to an 1173sqft Bi-Level Suite.
72 hours before my arrival, I received the generic email Marriott usually sends out about your upcoming stay and all that. I decided to reply the General Manager of the hotel which was the name and contact on that email.
I got a response from another manager saying they have noted my request, and that as I know there's no guarantee and also that it would depends on the check in associate and if they have availability when I check in.
To my surprise, 48 hours before arrival while I was checking in from the app, my 1 Bedroom 2 Queen Beds Interior Room with NO VIEWS has changed to Bi-Level 1 Bedroom Bi-Level Loft 1 king Bedroom with 2 Bathrooms on the Top Floor.
I couldn't believe my eyes. This penthouse cost an average of $400 / night.
