In NSW we use 5mm open cell Cressi suites. Middle of winter warm and snug. Had minus 10 degree nights up river and still warm. 3mm dive gloves layered with marine grade silicone to reduce wear. Works well for patching up suite too. Hope this helps. Just make sure it is an open cell suite.
