Another lovely video well done great camera work as usual I am really looking forward to seeing your next video I hope you get a nice video next time also when is your next video going to be on TH-cam bye for now Philip
All sealed coaches now, glad i was on the Jacobite last year when you could hear the loco. Wont be doing it with this stock. And yes its about time the awful maroon livery is change, total rubbish livery, no imagination. Needs a lawn mower at Carlisle Station °°😅
Couldn’t agree more I love steam but if air con mk2s become the norm that’s me done,I don’t want to be encased in a sound proof bubble,it would be nice to have a BR Green livery something that is sadly missing on the mainline
I have sad news. Rail tours like this could soon end even with flying scotsman. This is because of the doors on the coaches do NOT have a central locking mechanism this means that you can open the door while the train is moving. Because of this saftey risk the Hogwarts express tours in scotland have sadly ended unless they get new coaches But MK1 were the stock used and it would be to hard for fit A CLU (Central Locking Unit) R.I.P Railtours.
Sorry but you are wrong this stock is for the “Hogwarts train” which is resuming on Monday, You are right they don’t have any Mk1s fitted with CDL but they have a rake of Mk2s which they are using for mainline tours so no tours have been cancelled, so no it’s not RIP Railtours luckily
Your post is wrong on many levels. Mainline railtours already have central locking, and the cost of fitting it to existing stock isn't prohibitive, which is why others have done it already. West Coast Railways are just trying to blackmail the regulator into backing down so that they can save the money. They claimed it would cost £7 million to install, but when they lost the court case over it last year they were shown to be lying, that the cost would only be a tenth of that. WCR are just cowboys.
Very nice, I should have my video of Dumfries up tonight or tomorrow morning!

@@martin1703 LSL still operate Mk1s but theirs are fitted with CDL whereas sadly WCR can’t operate them currently because they don’t have it fitted.
Come on, guys, ditch this maroon delivery. It’s absolutely shite. 😞🤦♂️
I would usually agree but I thought it looked okay with the Black 5 in the maroon livery, thanks for the comment!👍
the thunder-bird looks like a svsjr coming up the hill with the puff-puff on the rear 😊
