Very impressive handling them like that, the reputation of their taproot has led me to be extra cautious but you've eased my hesitation. Would you avoid sewing seeds directly into a deeper pot (9-14inch)?
Hey Jim! I've been curious about pawpaws for a few years and wanted to add some to my yard. I've found some in the past out in the woods and I was thinking about transplanting them. I'm cautious because I read they don't transplant very easily. Any experience or suggestions you could share? Any precautions or preparations to consider prior to attempting this? Thank you for your time and advice.
Hey Jim, I have heavy red clay soil in my area. would it be worth it to use an auger to make a 24-30in wide by 3-4ft deep hole and mix in compost in for the pawpaw tree?
Always teaching, Jim. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and educating.

hopefully someday you can show the root structure of the pawpaw in one of those bags when the time comes 🙏
@derekfarealz I have plans of illustrating that in the future.
Thx for watching 👀.
